This guide-led experience brings travelers together for a well-paced look at the places and activities in the itinerary. The tour begins from Placencia. At Xunantunich, walk through the ceremonial plazas, learn how the ancient city developed, and take in the wide Cayo District views around El Castillo. For cave tubing, follow your guide on the forest approach, receive a safety briefing, and float through the underground river while looking at the limestone formations overhead. On the zipline course, trained guides handle the safety setup as you move between platforms and see the forest canopy from above.

Allow about 11 hours for the full experience. This is a shared experience with a listed maximum of 30 travelers. guide service, hotel pickup, lunch, and soft drinks are included. The experience is not wheelchair accessible. It is not recommended for pregnant travelers and travelers with back problems.

Pickup is available from hotels and accommodations in the Placencia area. Please enter the name and address of your accommodation when booking. Pickup is not available from Harvest Caye. Your exact pickup time will be confirmed before the tour.

What to expect

Your fun filled journey will start from your Placencia accommodation where our guides will meet you
before heading off to Xunantunich. A must-visit even during the shortest stays in Belize, Xunantunich
is a national treasure and the second largest ruin in the country. Your arrival will be marked by the
little falls of the Mopan River winding alongside the road through the village of San Jose Succotz.
Locally crafted souvenirs, hammocks, and blankets are available from the many vendors waiting
alongside the River where you board the hand-cranked ferry that has carried thousands to and from

the serene beauty of this Maya Temple.
