Your 4-day, 3-night Sahara adventure begins with an early-morning pickup from your accommodation or the nearest accessible meeting point. Travel through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters. Enjoy several photo stops along the way while admiring traditional Berber villages and dramatic mountain landscapes. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages. Explore the historic kasbah with a local guide, approximately €2.50 per person. Ait Ben Haddou has also been used as a filming location for famous productions such as Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses toward the Dades Valley. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at Kasbah Safari Rose or a similar accommodation.
After breakfast, depart toward Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Travel through traditional Berber villages and stop at the spectacular Todra Gorge, where you can explore the impressive canyon with a local guide. Continue through Tinghir, where you can discover local Berber culture and visit a traditional nomadic cooperative. Continue through Tinjdad and Erfoud before reaching Merzouga. After some time to relax in Merzouga, choose your preferred way to reach the desert camp: Camel option: Enjoy a scenic camel trek across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. Stop along the way to the desert camp. 4x4 option: Travel comfortably from Merzouga to the desert camp by 4x4 and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Sahara dunes. Upon arrival, settle into your private luxury tent with private bathroom and shower. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music around the campfire and an unforgettable night beneath the stars. Overnight in a luxury desert camp.
Wake up early to enjoy the spectacular sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, your return from the desert camp to Merzouga depends on the option selected: Camel option: Return to Merzouga by camel, enjoying the peaceful scenery of the Sahara dunes. Quad option: Enjoy an exciting quad ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes from the desert camp back toward Merzouga. After arriving in Merzouga, continue toward the Dades Valley, travelling through the beautiful landscapes of southeastern Morocco. In the afternoon, explore the famous Monkey Fingers rock formations in the Dades Valley. Enjoy a 1–2 hour walk through the spectacular landscape and take photos of the unique rock formations. A local guide can accompany you for approximately €3 per person. Please coordinate the exact departure and walking time with your guide. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at Kasbah Safari Rose or a similar accommodation.
After breakfast, depart from your hotel around 08:30 for the return journey to Marrakech. Travel through the spectacular landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters. Enjoy several stops for photographs and admire the Berber villages, valleys and mountain scenery. Stop for lunch at leisure before continuing toward Marrakech.
