Wondering how to go rafting in Nepal or whether you need previous experience? Trishuli River rafting is a good option for first-time rafters travelling from Kathmandu. The Class II–III rapids offer some excitement without being too difficult, and your river guide will give you a safety briefing and explain the basic paddle commands before you start.
Leave Kathmandu around 6:30 AM and travel to the rafting starting point. After rafting, enjoy a free zipline over the Trishuli River, followed by lunch and a short break. Your raft guide will also take photos during the rafting and transfer them to your phone for free.
After rafting, you can either return to Kathmandu the same day or continue to Pokhara or Chitwan if that is already part of your travel plan. Your bus ticket to Pokhara or Chitwan is included, so you do not need to arrange a separate ticket.
This makes it easy to combine rafting, ziplining and your onward travel in one day.
Once you book the trip, please contact us on WhatsApp and share your hotel name and full address. We will then guide you clearly on how to reach the meeting point at the Tourist Bus Stop, Nayabazaar (Sorakhutte), Kathmandu and assist you with the exact route and reporting time.
After the rafting, the team will assist you with transportation back to Kathmandu, which is approximately a 3-hour drive. The finishing point will be at Bhatbhateni, Balaju, Kathmandu, with the expected arrival time on the same day around 6:00–7:00 PM.
Start your rafting day at Trishuli River Side Resort, where you can change clothes and safely store your bags before getting ready for the river. You will receive your rafting equipment and safety briefing before heading to the Trishuli River with your professional rafting guide. After the rafting experience, return to the resort to freshen up, enjoy your freshly cooked lunch and relax. Depending on the schedule and river conditions, lunch may be served before or after rafting. You can also enjoy the resort’s facilities, including the zipline and other activities, before continuing your journey to Kathmandu, Pokhara or Chitwan.
