    Kiyosu Castle

    Our first destination is Kiyosu Castle, the stronghold where Oda Nobunaga built his early power. Your guide will explain how rival clans, shifting loyalties, and strategic marriages shaped this period. Inside the castle, you will view samurai armor and exhibits that bring the era to life. You are able to stand at the top of the castle and look out over the land Nobunaga used as his base to launch campaigns that began the unification of Japan.

    Azuchi Castle Museum

    Our next stop is at the Azuchi Castle Museum’s Nobunaga Hall. Here you will discover the height of Nobunaga's rise to power and see for yourself the huge amount of wealth and power he held through the reconstructed castle keep and the collection of preserved artifacts from the Sengoku era.

  • Shiga Prefecture (Pass by)

    We will stop for lunch at a roadside restaurant featuring local dishes of the region including Omi-gyu (wagyu). If you have any dietary restrictions, please prepare a bento box ahead of time as changes to menu items are typically not possible.

    Tarobogu Shrine (Aga Shrine)

    The next stop is Tarobo-gu—Japan's "Victory Shrine." You will have a chance to test your virtue by walking through the mythical Tengu rocks and predict your future success through "kawarake nage" or disc tossing. You will also make your own amulet/lucky charm under the instruction of a Shinto priest to help bring you victory in your future endeavours.

    Sekigahara Battlefield

    You will then travel to Sekigahara Battlefield. Here, massive armies faced off in a single day that decided who would rule Japan. Your guide will walk you through the battlefield museum and explain how Tokugawa Ieyasu defeated Ishida Mitsunari through strategy, timing, and crucial betrayal.

The shop is full of exclusive samurai-themed merchandise and locally made products including “Seki no Hamono” (knives and cutlery from Seki), “Mino Washi” (Japanese paper from Mino), “Tono no Tojiki” (pottery from Tono), and “Hida no Kagu/Mokko” (woodwork from Hida).
