This tour combines northern Thailand’s most memorable outdoor experiences into one organized 2–3 day journey from Chiang Mai: Doi Inthanon, Karen hill tribe village life, jungle trekking, waterfalls, bamboo rafting, and an education-led elephant observation experience on the 3-day option.

For the 3-day option, the elephant experience is observation-focused and designed around responsible learning. No elephant riding, bathing, washing, shows, tricks, or forced animal performances are included.

Hotel pickup from Chiang Mai. Visit Doi Inthanon National Park, Wachirathan Waterfall, the King and Queen Pagodas, and a local market. After lunch, trek for about 3 hours through forest trails to a White Karen hill tribe village. Enjoy a home-cooked dinner and overnight stay in simple local accommodation. Explore the King and Queen Pagodas and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Trek for 3 hours through lush forest to a White Karen Hill Tribe Village. Spend the evening with a local family, enjoying a home-cooked dinner and experiencing authentic village life.
After breakfast, continue trekking through forest trails to a hidden waterfall for swimming or relaxation if conditions allow. Continue to a local restaurant for lunch, then enjoy bamboo rafting on the Mae Wang River, subject to water level and safety conditions. For the 2-day option, return to Chiang Mai in the late afternoon. For the 3-day option, continue to a second overnight stay in a Karen village.
After breakfast, trek through Karen farmland and forest trails. Visit a Shan village for lunch and learn about local life from your guide. Continue to an education-led elephant observation experience focused on elephant behavior, care, and welfare. Return to Chiang Mai in the evening.
