We offer pickup from your accommodation or a nearby meeting point. You can also meet us directly at the Achada do Teixeira parking area, at the entrance of the trail. Please keep your phone on for any updates and show your booking confirmation (digital is fine) upon meeting.

You can meet your guide here or start already accompanied, receive your headlamp, and prepare to step into the tranquil stillness of the Madeiran mountains. The hike along the Pico Ruivo trail takes you through Madeira’s most dramatic mountain landscapes. As you walk the well-marked path, you’ll follow ridges and valleys that reveal breathtaking views at every turn. The fresh mountain air, the silence of the peaks, and the changing light over the rugged terrain create a truly immersive experience, connecting you deeply with the island’s natural beauty.

After hiking along the Pico Ruivo trail, you’ll reach Pico Ruivo, Madeira’s highest peak, just in time to witness a breathtaking sunrise above the clouds. Take a moment to enjoy the serene beauty, capture photos, and immerse yourself in this magical mountain landscape. After the sunrise, you descend along the same trail back to Achada do Teixeira.
