As we roll through historic Boulder City, known for its ties to the Hoover Dam construction era and its small-town charm, we’ll also keep an eye out for one of Nevada’s coolest residents—Big Horn Sheep. 4Hoover Dam
You’ve seen the photos, now experience it for yourself. You’ll have time to walk across the top of the Hoover Dam, soaking in its towering walls, sweeping views, and fascinating blend of art deco design and industrial grit. Go inside the belly of the beast! This guided tour (led by official dam staff) takes you down into the Hoover Dam’s power plant, where you’ll see enormous turbines up close, learn about how hydroelectric energy is generated, and explore the tunnels that help power multiple states. After your dam exploration, we head up to the Mike O’Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge—and what a finale it is. It’s the perfect spot to end the tour with wide-angle photos and a newfound appreciation of this engineering marvel.
