Backyards of homes off Seale Drive and Gunter Court and portions of the Golf of Georgia are under a foot of water. The Big Creek Greenway experiences significant flooding up to 4 feet deep with closure of the paths. This especially occurs upstream and downstream from the gage on Kimball Bridge Road and Rock Mill Park. A large portion of the YMCA Campground off Preston Ridge Road will be under a two feet of water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 9.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 PM EDT Friday was 9.3 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10 feet early tomorrow afternoon. Suwanee Creek Road begins to flood in low areas near Bennett Creek Bridge. In addition...yards begin to flood off Bend Creek Trail and Mill Creek Run. Portions of the playground behind the Suwanee Elementary School will be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:15 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 9.2 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:15 AM EDT Saturday was 10.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.8 feet this morning.
