The tour of the Renaissance begins from the magnificent Triumphal Arch of Castel Nuovo: the entrance was commissioned by Alfonso of Aragon in the mid-1400s in memory of his entry into the city and the victory over French rule over Naples. The tour will continue to the area south of Spaccanapoli with a stop in Santa Maria la Nova where supposed to be buried the Count Dracula, the Renaissance Loggia of San Giovanni Maggiore and the magnificent Church of Sant'Anna dei Lombardi are thought to have been buried with a gem: the sacristy completely painted by an unpublished Vasari.
Another important stop is the facade of the church of Gesù Nuovo with the inscriptions of the guilds of the Piperno masters, but our journey will end, after having crossed the whole of "Spaccanapoli" and Piazza San Domenico Maggiore where we can taste a great “Sfogliatella” or we could have a caffè, in the delightful church of S. Angelo in Nilo where on the altar there is a wonderful work by the master Donatello.
The guide will wait for you at the Triumphal Arch of Castel Nuovo - Maschio Angioino
The tour will end outside the Sant'Angelo a Nilo Church.

The beutiful and decorated cloister is one of the most important Renaissance trace of the city. In a cornes you'll see a very uncommon grave...
The beautiful loggia, with its refined and sophisticated lines, is still preserved in this church in the middle of the hart of old town Naples.
The dazzling Sacristy was decorated by the great Giorgio Vasari: one of the masters of the late Florence Renaissance chose this part of this ancient church to leave one of the most beautiful examples of his art.
The facade of the Church of Gesù Nuovo is made of typical Renaissnce ashlar: it was first a Private Building by the Sanseverino family. Then, the Jesuits made it the biggest mother church of the City, in a typical baroque style.
Inside this little and tiny church, in a chaotich crossroad of the historical center, there's a real masterpiece: the funerary moment of the Brancaccio Archibishop of Naples, made by Donatello and Michelozzo.
