we head towards Meteora, and Unesco Heritage Site, for a historical and mythical tour of some of the most spectacular cliff top monasteries of the Orthodox faith. The monasteries, built on top of pure line stone pillars and providing spectacular views over them, were inaccessible for years to the outside world and provided a secluded sanctuary for the monks. Meteora is considered one of the most unique attractions and beautiful areas of mainland Greece.

We visit the Grand Meteoron Monastery, the biggest monastery in Meteora and then we visit an icons’ factory.

After our visit, we have optional lunch in a local restaurant before we head back to the port of Igoumenitsa. As our Meteora One Day Trip from Corfu comes to an end, we arrive with the ferry to the island of Corfu and we are dropped of to our hotel or apartment.
