Ready to hunt for the Northern Lights? Our aurora-chasing tour by car is the most effective way to find them. Your guides, who constantly monitor aurora forecasts and weather conditions, will drive you to the spots with the clearest skies and the best chance of a sighting. We only run this tour when there's a real possibility of seeing the auroras, maximizing your chances of witnessing this incredible natural light show. As a bonus, our guides will also teach you the ideal camera settings for capturing stunning aurora photos.
Important Information:
For groups of up to 20 people, we use a car. If there are more than 20 people, we'll use a second car or a bus.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Please be on time at scheduled pick up time to designated pick-up point. Bus will leave exactly on time. If you miss the pick up we will not refund the excursion. Pick-up time from Rovaniemi City Centre (Korkalonkatu 32): 50 minutes before safari starting time. Pick-up time from Santa Claus village, bus stop by the main road 35 minutes before safari starting time.
If you arrive by your own car or other transportation, please arrive straight to Apukka Resort. There is free parking in Resorts' area. Please arrive 20 minutes before activity departure time.

Hop on a car with our knowledgeable guide and get ready to hit the roads of the far up North to find the very best locations to spot the Northern Lights. This excursion enables you to cover longer distances as we hunt for the Auroras and clear skies.

Before heading out, our aurora expert will give you a short presentation about the science and myths behind the Northern Lights. Your guide will also help you with camera settings to best capture the Northern Lights. Didn’t bring a camera with you? No need to worry, our guide will carry a camera on this excursion and will be happy to forward you all the photos from your trip in case Northern Lights would appear on the sky. As you travel across the arctic landscapes in the search of the Auroras, you also have a great chance to learn about Finland and the life up here from our knowledgeable guide.
