The migration and mating season of wildebeest in the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are the main topics of this 6-day tour. Approximately 8,000 calves are born every day to thousands of wildebeest during the birthing season, which lasts from December to February and extends into March. In order to stay safe and bring their young with them, many zebras and gazelles also travel with the wildebeest.

    Lake Manyara National Park

We'll head to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive after breakfast at the hotel. Your driver will set up and arrange the table for a full hot lunch (soup, bread rolls, main course, and fruit salad) along with a drink of wine, tea, or coffee in the shade of the car. We resume the game drive after lunch until it becomes dark, at which point we head back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. The ideal way to get acquainted with Tanzania's birdlife is through Lake Manyara. Even a first-time traveler to Africa could see 100 of the more than 400 species that have been identified in a single day. A thin strip of acacia forest inland from the floodplain serves as the preferred habitat for Manyara's fabled tree-climbing lions and magnificently tusked elephants.

    Ndutu Lake

Following breakfast at the lodge, we will head to the Serengeti South in the Ndutu region for a full day of wildlife viewing, including a chance to see the large herd of migrating wildebeests. Your driver will choose a location to set up a table for your hot lunch around noon. You'll get a drink of wine, tea, or coffee, along with soup, bread rolls, a main course, and fruit salad. You'll carry on with your gaming drive until it becomes dark after lunch. We'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after that. Discover a variety of environments, including the well-known Serengeti short-grass plains, swamps, woods, and soda lakes. View enormous zebra and wildebeest herds. The majority of wildebeest calves are born in February during a period of three weeks. They are vulnerable to predators due to the open grasslands, but within three days of birth, they can catch up with the herd and begin running.

    Ndutu Lake

After a leisurely breakfast at the camp, you will go on a full-day wildlife drive through the Serengeti South in the Ndutu region. Observe the movement of wildebeests and spot several predators, like as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Head back to the camp for a hot meal and a nap in the afternoon. Take a game drive in the late afternoon and continue into the evening before returning to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay. Like the majority of the other rift lakes, Lake Ndutu is alkaline, yet a variety of animals still uses the water, making it safe to drink. The short-grass plains are often home to the majority of the wildebeest migration, which occurs from December to April. Typically, the area is densely inhabited by resident game, birds, and elephants.

    Ndutu Lake

After breakfast at the camp, go on a game drive through the grassy plains and woods of the Ndutu area, following the herds of wildebeest and zebra that are gathered together. See the birth of young calves and follow lions, cheetahs, and hyenas as they hunt. Your driver will set up and prepare the table for a complete hot dinner (soup, bread rolls, main dish, fruit salad), along with a drink of wine, tea, or coffee, at noon under an acacia tree with our lovely vehicle shade. We continue our game drive after lunch until the evening, at which point we make our way to Ngorongoro for dinner and an overnight stay. The big migration is arguably the reason the Serengeti is most well-known. Every October and November, during the brief rains, over a million wildebeest and over 200,000 zebra migrate south from the northern hills to the southern plains. Following the long rains in April, May, and June, the animals spiral west and north.

    Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

    1 stop
  • 7
    Ngorongoro Conservation Area

We head to the crater for an afternoon game drive after a leisurely breakfast at the lodge. Your driver will set up and prepare the table in the shade of the car for a full hot lunch (main course, soup, bread rolls, and fruit salad) and serve it with a glass of wine, tea, or coffee during midday. We'll carry on with the game drive after lunch. We return to Arusha by car in the late afternoon and drop you off at the airport. The world's biggest intact and undulating caldera, a deep volcanic crater, is the crown jewel of Ngorongoro. Enormous in size, the Ngorongoro Crater is 300 square kilometers in area, 20 kilometers broad, and 600 meters deep. One of the most prominent features of the crater, Lake Magadi, is a big but shallow alkaline lake located in the southwest corner. This is normally the place to watch lots of flamingos, hippos, and other waterbirds.
