    Kathmandu: sightseeing and trek preparation

    The sightseeing that you are going to do, today, comprises of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and they can be categorized as Stupas, Temples, and Palaces. The sightseeing can be personalized, according to your interest, and all the effective route planning for the sightseeing will be done by the city guide of TMG.

    Kathmandu to Pokhara by tourist bus Duration: 6 hours

    TMG representative will come to pick you. After this, you will head to the tourist bus station. On the way, you will pass through towns, villages, and beautiful landscapes. There are also terraced farmland and rivers. After some pretty long hours, you will reach the City of Lake “Pokhara.” Pokhara is the second-best tourist destination after Kathmandu. It is also the city that offers a lot of tourism activities like paragliding, zip flyer, and bungy jumping. Its famous tourist spots are Davis falls, World peace pagoda, Bindhyabasini Temple, and so on. You will check in to the hotel. In the evening, you can walk around Phewa Lake.

    Trek to Ulleri (2,050m/6725 ft) Duration: 6 hours

    After breakfast, you drive from Pokhara to Naya Pul, the starting point of the trek. You have to walk through oak and rhododendron forest. The trekking trail that you follow is easy and gentle as well as winding and is called the "Ulleri Stairs". On the way, there are also steps, boulders, steepness, cliffs, bridges, and villages. There is also a village called Tikhedunga, and you reach Ulleri via it. When you reach Ulleri, it would be afternoon.

    After breakfast, you head to Ghorepani by reaching Banthanti and Nangethanti. To reach these villages, you have to walk through oak and rhododendron forest, and it is in Nangethanti, you will have your lunch. This is how you reach Ghorepani, the village that shows the perfect view of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Ranges.

    You walk on 2500 steps. The down trekking trail takes you to the Chhomrong Khola, a river. This is followed by up trekking trail which takes you to Khuldighar at 2,380 m and to a village called Sinuwa. There are a steep trekking trail and a gorge. The downhill easy trekking trail takes you to Bamboo which is damp and cold. From there, the uphill trekking trail takes you to rhododendron forest and to the Himalaya Hotel from where you can see the stunning view of glaciers.

    Today, you reach the Hinko Cave, Deurali, and the Machapuchare Base Camp. The trekking that you follow goes up. The vegetation becomes thinner, and the uphill trail shows the stunning view of the valley and passes by the waterfalls. It is after two hours trekking from the Machapuchare Base Camp that you reach the Annapurna Base Camp. From the Machhapuchhre Base Camp, you see the stunning view of Machhapuchhre, Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna.     The downhill trekking trail takes you to Ghandruk. When you reach Ghandruk, you will see the stunning view of Annapurna South and Fish Tail as well as you will visit its museum where you will have rich information on Gurung Culture and Tradition. By following a more down trekking trail, which is easy, you will reach Kimche and then to Nayapul. You head to Pokhara either on a jeep or a bus from there.
