Munich: Collection of Greek Statues (Glyptothek) including ticket

2 hours (approximately)
Offered in: German and 3 more

The Glyptothek is the most fascinating collection of Greek, Roman, and Etruscan sculptures I know.

It’s a unique Museum devoted to Greek Statues. Raised by King Ludwig I, with his most talented architect Klenze, this place is a must-see when visiting Munich. The solidarity with Greece, where the Regent's son Otto became the first Greek King, is visible everywhere in my city.

During my tours, participants get an insight into ancient mythology and the development of sculpture and art. I work just with small groups to deliver the best event for my guests.

Many of the pieces were once presented in the Antiquarium in the Munich Residence. This makes a visit here also a proper complement to a tour of the royal palace.
