  Blue Grotto

  Here is one of the most spectacular walks on Capri: The Sentiero dei Fortini. A path that runs along the sea from the Blue Grotto to the Punta Carena lighthouse between rock frames, sculptural headlands and bays as deep as fjords with turquoise waters. On the path there are three forts that once served for the defense of Capri: Orrico, Pino and Mesola. The forts are ancient military posts built by the English in 1806 and enlarged by the French after the capture of Capri, which took place in Orrico on 4 October 1808 The path that connects them can be taken from both the Blue Grotto and the Punta Carena lighthouse.

  I Faraglioni

  The stacks of Capri are three rock formations located south-east of the island of the same name, famous throughout the world. These protrusions are identified with three distinct names: the first (joined to the mainland) is the Faraglione di Terra; the second, separated from the first by the sea, is the Middle one; while the third, stretching out towards the sea, is the Faraglione di Fuori. The latter is very well known as it is the only habitat of the famous blue lizard.
