Tradition dictates that visitors who have just arrived on the island of Capri - especially women - greet the street urchin Gennarino, the beautiful bronze statue located at the entrance to Marina Grande. Crossing the island's waters, before reaching the tourist port, the welcome statue, depicting a Neapolitan street urchin - sitting with his arm raised in greeting - has for years warmly welcomed guests of the blue island who arrive by ship or ferry from the mainland .

Here is one of the most spectacular walks on Capri: The Sentiero dei Fortini. A path that runs along the sea from the Blue Grotto to the Punta Carena lighthouse between rock frames, sculptural headlands and bays as deep as fjords with turquoise waters. On the path there are three forts that once served for the defense of Capri: Orrico, Pino and Mesola. The forts are ancient military posts built by the English in 1806 and enlarged by the French after the capture of Capri, which took place in Orrico on 4 October 1808 The path that connects them can be taken from both the Blue Grotto and the Punta Carena lighthouse.

The stacks of Capri are three rock formations located south-east of the island of the same name, famous throughout the world. These protrusions are identified with three distinct names: the first (joined to the mainland) is the Faraglione di Terra; the second, separated from the first by the sea, is the Middle one; while the third, stretching out towards the sea, is the Faraglione di Fuori. The latter is very well known as it is the only habitat of the famous blue lizard.

    White Grotta

The White Cave is called this due to the color of the tuff which colors the marine cavity in light shades. Wide and wide at the entrance, it gets narrower and narrower, until it reaches a tufaceous platform where there are clear signs of the presence of man. For centuries, fishermen have known about this cave which they use as a shelter for boats during sudden storms. bathroom stop
