As you embark on your boat tour of the Negombo lagoon, be prepared to be captivated by the serene and tranquil surroundings. The lagoon, with its calm and crystal-clear waters, is home to a diverse array of flora and fauna. As you glide through the mangrove forests, you will be greeted by the melodious chirping of birds, such as kingfishers and herons, and if you're lucky, The lagoon is also known for its vibrant fishing community, and you will have the opportunity to witness local fishermen skillfully casting their nets and reeling in their catch. Whether you choose to explore the lagoon by boat The Hamilton canal was completed by the British colonial government in 1804, to replace the 17th century Dutch canal, as a transport route for spices including cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and areca nuts. It is still a busy waterway for our fishing community today

Our driver will pick you up from the hotel/Accomodation where you are staying around Negombo. If you are in out of Negombo beach we can arrange the transport with additional charges. You can share the details of you via whats app and will share you the driver details and the charges accordingly.

What to expect

The boat ride/safari that starts from the old Dutch canal which connects to Negombo Lagoon ,on this journey you can see Monkeys in Monkey island also feed them with snacks & the lagoon is full of birds spcecial bird types as kingfishers, The lagoon is also known for its vibrant fishing community, and you will have the opportunity to witness local fishermen catching fish & many fish types are visible on your journey also you will be provided with a delicious snack which includes Fresh fruits Banana's , Watermelon / Pineapple & feel the taste of Sri lankan King coconut drink

On completion of journey we will drop you to the hotel
