It is an excursion to a spectacular natural area, the Chulilla Canyon also called the Turia Hoses, with walls of more than 100m dug by the river surrounded by nature. We will visit it doing the suspension bridge route and take a walk through the town to the castle.
We will leave from the small Plaza located in front of the Lonja Museum on Avenida Conde de Vallellano.
The Turia is one of the main rivers of the Valencian Community and has a natural and cultural heritage to know. Chulilla is one of the towns closest to this river with a medieval landscape of castle and picturesque streets nestled in the rock surrounded by the Turia Canyon, more than 100m deep.
We will take a tour of the village and visit the bridge route, a trail through the mouths that crosses the canyon on several occasions by suspension bridges and breathtaking views.
Perfect free time to eat in the village of Chulilla which is located at the foot of a high promontory, dominated by the Arab castle that preserves towers and walls on the side of the population, since for the part that faces the river there is an impressive canyon.
Visit to the Castle and walls of Chulilla. It consists of ante-wall, barbecue tower, a circular bastion, vaulted outbuilding, corner towers, and the manor compound with tower and remains of the residence and auxiliary outbuildings. It also had a hermitage dedicated to Saint Michael. Inside there are four cisterns.
