Your day begins in a handcrafted cayuco (a traditional wooden canoe), gliding through calm waters surrounded by mangroves and the mirrored stillness of jungle-lined rivers. As you paddle, your guide—a seasoned anthropologist and historian—shares the legends, ecology, and hidden stories of this protected region, bringing its rich Afro-Caribbean and colonial past to life.

From the water, you'll step into the dense rainforest for a 60-minute guided hike. You'll walk beneath towering trees, listen to exotic bird calls, and learn about medicinal plants and indigenous uses of the forest.

The trail leads to a secluded, untouched Caribbean beach, where the next phase of your adventure begins. Here, the turquoise waters invite you in for an unforgettable snorkeling session. Swim alongside colorful reef fish, explore coral gardens, and if you're lucky, spot stingrays, sea stars, and more. You’ll have two full hours to snorkel and relax, snack on fresh tropical fruit, and soak up the serenity of nature with no crowds in sight.

After the tour wraps up around 2:00 PM, guests are treated to a well-deserved lunch at a charming Italian waterfront pizzeria, offering wood-fired pizza and fresh local cuisine with breathtaking views of Portobelo Bay—the perfect way to unwind and reflect on your adventure. (please note that lunch is NOT included in the tour and is paid by the tour participant)
