Opunohu Bay is three kilometres DE long and 80 metres DE deep. On 30 September 1777, Discovery and Resolution, ships of the famous navigator Captain James Cook, entered DE Tareu's pass. He describes its anchorage as one of the best natural ports he has seen in the South Sea Islands. This magnificent bay is full of stories and DE legends to discover.
