    Prison Island - Changuu Private Island

    Begin your journey with a visit to Prison Island, just a half-hour from Stone Town. Famous for its giant tortoises, which have been living there since 1919 after being brought from Aldabra Seychelles, the island is also a fantastic spot for snorkeling and sunbathing. Once a quarantine station, it became the site where the British planned to build the Stone Town prison in the 1890s, though the prison was never completed.

    Next, head back to Stone Town for a historical walk through this UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore landmarks like the Old Market, established in 1903, divided into sections for fish, meat, vegetables, fruits, and spices. Visit iconic sites such as the House of Wonders (National Museum), Tippu Tip House, the former English Club (Africa House), and the Old Fort.
