    After you arrive at the airport in Delhi you will be transferred to your hotel by air-conditioned private vehicle.

    Delhi to Jhansi by Train and 3-Hrs drive to Khajuraho

    You will be picked up at 5am from your hotel in Delhi / Gurgaon / Noida and transferred to the New Delhi railway station to board a super fast deluxe train to Jhansi. At 6am your train Shatabdi Exp (Train No. 12002) departs from the New Delhi railway station. Breakfast will be served on board during this 4-hour journey.

    A few hours later you will arrive at Jhansi Railway Station and meet your driver at the main exit gate and drive to Khajuraho to see the temples built in the 9th/10th century. Khajuraho is a beautifully crafted large temple dedicated to kamasutra motifs, and it very interesting to observe. The Kandariya Mahadeo Temple is the largest and most typical Khajuraho temple with exquisite carvings and intricate and detailed craftsmanship in stone depicting divine deities, celestial maidens, eternal lovers, gods and goddesses. (Jhansi to Khajuraho 3-4 Hrs drive).

    Later that evening, there will be an optional sound and light show (own expense). The show evokes the life and times of the great Chandela Kings and traces the story of the unique temples from the 10th century to present day.

    Early this morning you will three hours drive to the town of Orchha that lies on the Betwa River set amongst a complex of well-preserved palaces and temples.

    Jahangir Mahal is a massive stronghold of architectural richness built in the 17th century by the ruler of Orchha- Madhya Pradesh Vir Singh Deo for the one day visit of his friend, 'Mughal emperor Jahangir'. The four storey masterpiece has numerous rooms with arched courtyards and windows while a steep climb to the top floor offers a rewarding view of the countryside.

    An unconventional blend of a fort and a temple moulds, Laxmi Temple in Orchha is an imposing sight to behold. Built for Lakshmiji, the Goddess of wealth, inner chambers were built for pilgrims but strangely there is no idol of the Goddess in the temple. The canon slots on its roof are another curious feature.

    River Betwa is an integral part of Orchha. Also known as Vetravati, the river has found ample mention in the epic Mahabharata. The great Orchha cenotaphs magnificently rest on the banks of this shimmering Yamuna tributary.

    Constructed to enshrine lord Ram but later dedicated to the four armed deity lord Vishnu, Chaturbhuj Temple is the most imposing structure in Orchha with incredible legends. It is highly unusual among Hindu temples with marvellously carved ceilings & pillars, numerous windows, and very spacious cross-shaped foundation.

    If you have a time early evening proceeds to a Photo Tour of Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh — the moonlit garden — believed to have been designed by Shah Jahan to view the Taj on moonlit nights, far away from the maddening crowd, the garden complex is situated on the left bank of Yamuna opposite to Taj Mahal. It is a huge square measuring approximately 300x300 m and in straight alignment with the Taj Mahal. The forestry plantations and agricultural fields provide a green forecourt to Taj Mahal and its reflection in Yamuna. Here you can witness the sunset over the Taj Mahal.

    Pickup at 6am early morning at sunrise we leave to explore the monumental heritage of the Great Mughals, visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife.     Next we, enjoy tour of the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques.

    Meet your guide at your Jaipur hotel in Jaipur at approximately 8am. Begin the tour by visiting the Amber Fort. The Amber Fort is situated on a ridge just outside Jaipur City and is beautifully reflected in the lake below. Inside the fort, you will encounter the world-renowned Jai Mandir temple with its dazzling Sheesh Mahal hall of mirrors. The walls and the ceiling of the Mahal are covered with a beautiful array of mirrors, which reflect any streak of light, illuminating the entire room.
