Today, we will go to Cold Spring Town first, where ancient Victorian houses can be seen everywhere. Antique shops stand side by side on the street. Flowers are planted in front of and behind the doors. Every brick and tile is elegant and delicate. You can choose your favorite way to spend the leisurely morning time- sit on a bench to enjoy the lake breeze or have a cup of outside of a coffee shop. After bid farewell to this beautiful town, we will drive to the Woodbury Outlet for shopping! You will have enough time to have fun! As a surviving industrial village, Cold Spring's commercial, ecclesiastical and residential features reflect the economic and social dynamics of the (early 19th century) era. The distinctive store structures on the broad Main Street, the noticeable contrast of house types and neighborhoods and the variety of religious institutions dominated by the foundry owner's donated Episcopal church, are the legacy of the prosperous and paternalistic society in 19th-century Cold Spring. They are significant today for their architectural and historical associations to important events in the history of the Hudson Highlands.
