Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,550m) The journey takes around 6-7 hours by road. The drive passes through scenic landscapes and local villages. Overnight in a teahouse at Syabrubesi.
The trek begins with a descent to the Bhote Koshi River and then a climb up to Rimche (2,400m). The trail then descends to the Langtang Khola and follows the river upstream to Lama Hotel. The trek takes about 6 hours. Overnight in a teahouse at Lama Hotel.
The trail continues through dense forests of oak, maple, and rhododendron. You will pass through the villages of Ghoda Tabela and Thangsyap before reaching Langtang Village. The trek takes around 6-7 hours. Overnight in a teahouse at Langtang Village.
The trail ascends gradually through yak pastures and glacial moraines. You will pass through the villages of Mundu and Sindum before reaching Kyanjin Gompa. The trek takes around 4-5 hours. Overnight in a teahouse at Kyanjin Gompa.
This day is a rest day to explore the surrounding areas. You can visit the local cheese factory, the Kyanjin Gompa monastery, or hike to the nearby Kyanjin Ri peak (4,700m) for spectacular views of the Langtang range. Overnight in a teahouse at Kyanjin Gompa.
The trek retraces the same trail back to Lama Hotel. The descent is easier and quicker and takes around 6 hours. Overnight in a teahouse at Lama Hotel.
The trail descends steeply to the Bhote Koshi River and then ascends to Rimche. From there, it's a gradual descent to Syabrubesi. The trek takes around 5 hours. Overnight in a teahouse at Syabrubesi.
The drive takes around 6-7 hours. You will be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu, marking the end of the Langtang Valley Trek.
