Our exclusive Manaslu Annapurna Three Pass Trek includes two high passes of the Annapurna region and one high pass of Manaslu region of Nepal. Our three high passes trek includes Larkya La, Kang La and Thorong La Pass. All of these passes are situated above 5,000 meters above sea level. Because of the altitude, the difficulty level of this trek is hard. Similarly, the trekkers have to stay overnight in Local tea house or lodges with basic facilities in almost all parts of the trekking route. Meanwhile, a camping trek can be during the trek.

All the above passes are a beautiful outcome of culture and natural diversity. Since its early days, Manaslu and Annapurna keep its natural and cultural popularity. Additionally, after opening Nar Phu get chances to encounters in every step with Buddhist practices. Manaslu and Nar valley trek preserved Buddhism Mani walls, Chorten and century-old monasteries.

    Swaymbhunath

    The Swayambhunath temple is one of the holiest Buddhist Chaityas in Nepal, residing in the western part of Kathmandu valley. Swayambhunath also known as ‘Monkey Temple’. This is the best place to see the entire city, as it is located in the top of the hill. Buddhists and Hindus both perform and worship here. There are a lot of small temples and monasteries to see around Swayambhunath temple. The wonderful views from the Swayambhunath temple are wonderful and it has huge significance as well.

    Boudhanath Stupa

    The Stupa belongs to Buddhists. It has great architectural values, ancient Buddhism philosophy and the Historical aspects. This Stupa is made up in a Mandala shaped area and has a giant dome. It is the centre hub of Buddhism in Nepal and is surrounded by hundreds of monasteries. Lichchavi rulers renovated the staple during 8th century, which has made on the shape of a Mandala. This is one of the most popular holy sites for Buddhist followers inside the Kathmandu valley. It is one of the important artefacts of the Kathmandu valley. The total time spent at this temple will be around one and a half hours.

    Pashupatinath Temple

    Pashupatinath temple is a highly revered temple of Kathmandu valley. There are a lot of places to see around Pashupatinath temple. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this temple offers wonderful spiritual experiences and surroundings. It is situated 3 km northwest of Kathmandu on the banks of the Bagmati River, including many holy areas Deupatan, Jaya Bageshwori, Gaurighat (Holy Bath), Kutumbahal, Gaushala, Pingalasthan and Sleshmantak forest. There are around 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva) and 12 Jyotirlinga (phallic shrines) to explore. It is also a cremation site on the raised platform along the Bagmati River, where the last rites of Hindus are performed. The total time for Sightseeing around the Pashupatinath temple will be about two hours.

    At 06:30 AM: Have your breakfast at the hotel and be ready for your drive to Sotikhola. Sotikhola is about 140 KM far from Kathmandu, it takes Approx. 6-7 hours of driving to reach there. First check-in at your hotel. You will get a few hours to buy your required things for the trek if needed. If not, you can explore the surrounding area and take a rest.

    Trek to Machhakhola

    At 07:00 AM: Have your breakfast and be ready for the first day adventure to Machhakhola. Today you will follow the upstream of Budhi Gandaki River through the woodlands. Machhakhola is about 15 KM from Sotikhola. You will have your lunch on the way. After about 6-7 hours of walk, you will reach Machhakhola. Dinner will be served after 6 PM.

    Trek to Jagat

    At 07:00 AM: This second day of the trek starts with crossing the Machha Khola and Khorla Besi reaching the hot springs. You have to walk in the forest area until you cross the Dovan Khola which is the opening to the Budi Gandaki river valley. The landscape changes drastically as we go more upwards and when you reach Jagat you’ll find it drastically changes. The distance from Machhakhola to Jagat is around 22 km and it takes 7-8 hours.

    At 07:00 AM: Today’s trek will continue from the Jagat crossing the well-paved village before climbing the Sirdabas village which offers a great view of Shringi mountain. Trail then passes through the amazing landscape with great views of waterfalls, rivers and mountains via Philim and Ekle Bhatti finally reaching Deng. Today’s walk is 20 km and takes around 7-8 hours.

    At 07:00 AM: Another 6-hour trek towards Namrung will start after breakfast early in the morning. The trail is full of mani walls and crafted stones where you will get some glimpse of Tibetans flavour of people and culture. You will walk around 19 km before reaching beautiful Namrung village.

    At 07:00 AM: After breakfast, the trek starts towards Lho Gau which is situated at the lap of Manaslu Himal and peak 29 in front of it. Amazing stone crafting can be seen on the stones of the trails with mani walls. Also for a close view of Manaslu, we will take a side trip to the Pungen glacier. Today’s walk is 10 km which will take 5-6 hours.

    At 07:00 AM: The trek follows towards the Samagau via the Pungen glacier. Samagau is the most beautiful village on the entire trek. It takes 6-7 hours walking of 8 km trail before reaching Samagau.

    Acclimatization Day at Samagau

    At 07:00 AM: When you are trekking in the high altitude it is recommended that you should take proper acclimatization before going further high. For the acclimatization, you will have the option of trekking to Manaslu Base Camp (4750 m) and back to Samagau which will take approximately 7-8 hours. Or take a half-day hike to glacier across the valley or Birendra Tal.

    Samamgau is one of the most beautiful villages in the entire trek and takes about 7 hours to reach from Lho Gau. You will have an acclimatization day here. During the rest day, you can also have a side trip to Manaslu Base Camp situated at an altitude of 4,750 meters. Half-day hike to Birendra Tal can also be done. Samdo is a beautiful Tibetian village of Nepal and can be reached after 4 hours of trek from Samagau.

    At 07:00 AM: Samdo is the beautiful Tibetan refugee village with mountain Manaslu in front of it. This village is just one day walk from the Tibet border to Nepal. The distance from Samagau to Samdo is 8 km and it takes 3-4 hours to reach the village from Samagau.

    At 07:00 AM: After crossing the few rivers and the amazing trail we will reach Larkey Bazar. Larkey Bazar was the hub of the trade from Tibet and upper Manaslu region. After a steady climb from Larkey Bazar, you will reach Dharmashala the last place to stay before crossing the pass tomorrow. The distance from Samdo to Dharmashala is 7 km and it takes 5 hours.

    Trek to Bhimtang via Larkya La Pass

    At 07:00 AM: Today is the pass day, you will start early in the morning climbing the cho chanda before heading to the beautiful pass. The trail today offers panoramic views of the mountains all around. You will have spectacular views of the snow-capped Himalayas like the Himlung Himal (7126 m), Cheo Himal (6820 m), Gyagi Kung, Kang Koru (6981 m) and Annapurna II (7937 m).

    During the Manaslu Annapurna, three pass trek Larky La Pass is the only pass that lies in the Manaslu region of Nepal. Situated at an altitude of 5,106 meters above sea level it is one of the highest passes of the whole Manaslu region. Similarly, it is also one of the popular passes of the Manaslu region as well as of Nepal. Larkya La pass is located between Dharmashala and Bhimthang and is also the highest point of the Manaslu Circuit Trek in Nepal. Amazing views of the snowcapped mountains can be seen from Larkya La Pass. The mountains include Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Gyagi Kung, Kang Koru and Annapurna II. Manaslu region of Nepal offers one of the best scenarios of the Himalayas. Although it is one of the isolated trekking regions of Nepal. The most popular trek of the Manaslu region includes the Manaslu Circuit Trek where Larkya La Pass is the highest point of the trek. According to other resources, it is believed that the actual altitude of the Larkya La pass is 5,210 meters above sea level. The actual altitude of this high pass is still in doubt. Acute Mountain Sickness is very common at this altitude. Because of that, a long itinerary is set to cross the Larkya La Pass to avoid the altitude sickness.

    At 07:00 AM: Today our trekking route descends down to reach Tilje.The upper temperate forest reappears and the day becomes warmer as we leave Bhimthang. Rhododendrons, alpine pine trees dominate other vegetation. The terraced crop fields are seen around Kharche. We steep climb up the ridge and again trek down the Marshyangdi river to reach Tilje.

    At 07:00 AM: Walk for about 5 to 6 hours to reach Koto from Tilje at an elevation of 2610m/ 8563ft. we walk through the trail of Annapurna Circuit. So, the trail offers you spectacular views of Annapurna II and Manaslu Peak with a daily lifestyle of Thanchowk village people. Following the trail over the Marsyangdi River, we pass by Bagarchap Village. Then we move to Koto through pine forest, passing Timang at 2510 m. reaching at Koto we get to see the spectacular views of Annapurna, Lamjung and Manaslu range.

    At 07:00 AM: after breakfast, we will start our journey towards Phu village. Today we enter the restricted area of Nar Phu valley with pack lunch. Following the Nar Khola and Greenland forest. The trail is adventurous with rocky trail and a long walk to Meta. We walk through a steep and constrictive path through the dense forest, after crossing the river the trek leads to pass the beautiful pine forest with wide waterfall before arriving Meta village. You can also see mesmerizing mountain views like Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal.

    Trek to Nar Village

    At 07:00 AM: We will enter a narrow gorge and then descend down to the river. we will follow the trail that heads north. We will climb steeply before descending gently towards a series of deserted buildings and large chortens. Pass a line of wonderfully painted, bamboo-topped chortens on the way into the ancient village. From here we will cross a suspension bridge to arrive at the village of Phu. we will see some mountains of Annapurna ranges. .Even though Nar is not far from the main Annapurna trail, it is rarely visited by trekkers and is about as picturesque as it gets.

    At 06:00 AM: Today we start early to cross Kangla Pass. On our way to Kang-La, we may come across some yak herder’s camps. We will climb towards the top of the pass that is decorated with many prayer flags. From the top, we will have good views of Annapurna III and IV, Machhapuchhre (Fish-Tail), Tilicho Peak and the entire Manang valley. We will descend from the top to reach the village of Ngawal. Ngawal is a wonderful old village with a Buddhist school to teach monks, prayer wheels and beautiful architecture.

    At 07:00 AM: Leaving Ngawal we will follow the trail that descends to flat fields along the banks of Marsyangdi River. We will trek through forested area passing through Mugji to arrive at the 500 years old village of Braga and then continue trekking to reach Manang. Manang is a wide U-shaped valley which hangs between two lines of snow peaks. This grand spot from a ridge offers scenic views of the valleys, Hongdre village with its short air-strip and the great peaks of Gangapurna, Annapurna II, III, Tilocho, Chuli, and Pisang.

    At 07:00 AM: we will follow the trail that turns north and then climb a stone wall with a gate that stops domesticated livestock from leaving the grazing grounds of high pastures. From there we will gradually descend towards a suspension bridge over the Ghyanchang Khola. The trail heads up in the barren windswept terrains with juniper bushes along the way. From here an hour’s moderate walking will lead us towards Yak Kharka.

    At 07:00 AM: The trail from Yak Kharka leads to a slow climb up to reach the last settlement of Ledar. The trail then winds up offering grand views of Annapurna II, Gangapurna, Tilache and the close-up view of Chuli peaks. After around one hour of trekking from Ledar, we will descend towards the wooden bridge over the Kone Khola.you will continue along a zig-zag track towards Upper Phedi or High Camp.

    At 05:00 AM: we will start early for the crossing of the challenging Thorong La Pass, to avoid the strong winds at the pass after midday. We will climb steeply up towards a watercourse before climbing through another large gully formed by the melt of Thorong Peak. From there we will continue climbing across undulating moraine towards the top of the Thorong Pass. After reaching an altitude of 5,416 meters at Thorong-La. You can catch the best views of the northern Annapurna, Damodar, Bhrikuti and Dhaulagiri range of mountains from Thorong La. From the top, we will descend steeply towards the grassy meadows and further to a very important pilgrimage site for Hindus and Buddhists – Muktinath. This will be the longest day in terms of trekking. You will trek 7-8 hours this day.

    Situated at an altitude of 5,416 meters above sea level Thorong La Pass is the highest elevation of the Annapurna Circuit Trek. Similarly, Thorong La Pass is also the highest point of the Manaslu Annapurna Three Pass trek. Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most popular trekking trails of the Annapurna region as well as of Nepal. Meanwhile, Thorong La Pass is the most popular route to reach the Mustang district of Nepal from Manang district. Khatung Kang and Yakawa Kang are the mountain ranges that form the Thorong La Pass. The trekking trails to Thorong La Pass is much developed than other two passes during the trek. Similarly, there are better options to stay overnight because of the number of Teahouse and Lodges available of the Annapurna Circuit. After a few hours of sunrise, strong cold winds blow around the route to Thorong La Pass which makes impossible to cross it. Because of that almost all the trekkers spend a night at Thorong High Camp and start early morning walk towards Thorong La Pass.

    At 07:00 AM: Muktinath temple is the ultimate destination for Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. The temple is home to waterspouts where freshwater pours out channelled from the streams above the temple. After spending time at Muktinath temple, we start our journey towards KagBeni where we will have our lunch. Kagbeni is a village that has many memorial stupas and a small monastery. After a lunch break at Kagbeni, we will move towards Jomsom. The trail to Jomsom from Kagbeni cuts through windy areas on the Kali Gandaki Valley Jomsom is the main administrative centre and headquarter of Mustang.

    At 07:00 AM:It takes approximately four to five hours drive to reach Kathmandu from Pokhara. We drive over the Prithvi Highway which offers scenic hilly zigzag roads while driving along the banks of Trishuli River. The daily activities of the local people can be seen along the road when we pass through numerous villages and towns before finally arriving back to Kathmandu. You will get shopping time in Kathmandu and we will have a farewell Nepali dinner together.

    Thamel is in Kathmandu. It is a haven for tourists visiting the city. It contains numerous hotels, restaurants, and shops that cater specifically to western tourists. It is located in the northern region of Kathmandu past the government district on Tridevi Marj. Although some consider it to be overcrowded it has been used by westerners since the 1970s when hippies in the region discovered it. Although now it has become quite commercial. Thamel is an easy walk from anywhere in central Kathmandu. Though the roads can be quite busy during the day, and traffic can be quite heavy.
