Mikumi National Park is the fourth largest park in Tanzania and it is easily accessible from Dar es Salaam since the tarmac road was completed it is an ideal destination for visitors who have numbered days for safari and wants to experience the most part of Tanzania National Parks. It is close to Maasai Village and which is an ideal place for Cultural Tourism

    Day 1

    Transporting from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

    We will have a road trip from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi via Morogoro Town. We will stop at Msolwa Restaurant for Breakfast or Lunch and we can take lunch boxes or have our lunch at the restaurant. Later on we will have a picnic at Bwawani area where we will have a great view of the dam which is used for agricultural and fishing activities.We will leave for Mikumi later evening where we will game drive en-route to our reserved accommodation area.

    Full day game drive

    On this day we will have a full day game drive inside the park where we will be able to spot lions,giraffe.elephant,hippo,zebra etc. Early mornings is the best time to spot animals at there early time of the day like hunting and grazing . Later afternoon we will have our lunch at TANAPA cottages and have keep on with our game drive till evening depending on the weather of the day.

    Visiting Snake Park and heading back to Dar es Salaam

    We will stop on the way back to Dar es Salaam at Mikumi Snake PArk and see different types of reptile species that are found in Tanzania like green mamba,black mamba,python, crocodiles and tortoise. This animals are keep inside closed glass rooms which is safe for visitors to see them close enough.
