This is a family-owned farm that has begun to receive visitors to share the traditions, skills, music, and cuisine of the Argentine countryside and Gaucho heritage.

You'll get to be part of some of the most representative features of the gaucho culture, starting with a horseback ride, tasting the legendary asado argentino and empanadas, discovering rural music and dances (it's not just tango in Argentina! ), and closing with the display of the horse skills of actual working gauchos.

We will pick you up in any hotel or apartment in the area of Buenos Aires City (Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires). If you are bringing luggage during the Tour: there is a maximum of available space in the vehicle of 1 small handbag per person.

Meeting point

We meet the driver in Buenos Aires and he'll take you to the gaucho town San Antonio de Areco on the central colonial historical neighborhood: its main square, San Antonio´s church, 100 years old gauchos´ bar (no tour guide), and the go to La Florita for a horseback ride.

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

What to expect

- You can start by visiting on your own the town of San Antonio de Areco, famed for its culture, architecture and great craftsmen.
- The main activities are in a property just outside the town where you can go horseback riding with local gauchos
- Typical rural lunch included (empanadas, asado, drinks and dessert)
- Live folkloric music and dance performance
- We close up with gaucho equestrian skills display!

  • Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
  • Specialized infant seats are available
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Water and soda available for minors
  • No alcoholic beverages are served for under 18 (drinking age in Argentina)
  • If you have back/knee/hip problems it is not recommended to make the horseback ride. If you are pregnant: horseback ride is not allowed.
