After visiting the famous Red Fort, explore the tallest building in India, Qutub Minar has been a highly important historical attraction in the capital city. It is a part of the Qutub Complex, also declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of the most famous places to see in north Delhi. The tower was built with red sandstone and marble making its height up to 73 meters and giving a tower-like structure.
Next, head to the famous Maqbera e Humayun, the Tomb of Humayun is a major historical site in India and one of Delhi's best places to visit. It is the tomb of the famous Mughal Emperor of India, Humayun. The tomb was commissioned by the first wife of Humayun, who was the chief consort as well, Empress Bega Begum.
Afterward, we headed to see the famous War Memorial of Delhi. It was built to commemorate the 82000 soldiers of the Indian Army who lost their lives during the First World War. India Gate is world famous as the triumphal arch that looks like the Arch of Constantine and is compared to the Arc de Triomphe and Gateway of India in Mumbai.
Lastly, drive through the Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi. The Presidential Residence, formerly the Viceroy’s House, is Delhi's most popular Rashtrapati Bhawan. It is the home of the President of India, officially. The mansion or the main building accommodates the president’s official residence, offices, halls, and guest rooms.
After exploring Delhi, get ready to take a drive from Delhi to Agra, the Taj City of India. The destination is approximately 240 kilometers which can be traveled in 4 to 5 hours. After reaching the city, get transferred to the pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay in Agra.
Next morning, get ready for a guided sightseeing tour where you will be heading towards the most remarkable site of the Mughals, “The Taj Mahal.” Often referred to as the “symbol of love,” the Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It has also been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for being a masterpiece worldwide.
After visiting the iconic Taj, embark on a visit to the majestic Agra Fort. One of the most important forts of the Mughal era, Agra Fort, is the finest royal fort to be seen in the city. Akbar the Great refers to the fort as his home during his reign till 1605. The fort is located close to the Taj Mahal and is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Now it’s time to leave Agra and proceed ahead. A town in Agra district, Fatehpur Sikri was once the capital of the Mughal empire. The town was built and established by Akbar and later abandoned in 1610. Like many different tourist places in Agra, this was also entirely built with red sandstone.
Next, begin a road journey to Jaipur, about 205 kilometers. Once you are in Jaipur, get escorted to the hotel and check in to the hotel for a relaxing overnight.
In the morning, get set for a sightseeing tour of Jaipur, where you will first visit the Albert Hall Museum. Named after the Prince of Wales, Albert Hall Museum was founded in 1876 when the prince visited Jaipur for the first time. The museum displays ancient artifacts and crafts of the bygone era.
One of Jaipur's famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Jantar Mantar consists of 14 geometric architectures. These measured times predict eclipses and track the stars' location and Earth's movement around the sun. Samrat yantra is the largest instrument in the observatory and was used to forecast time.
In the heart of the Pink City lies the City Palace, the most remarkable attraction of Jaipur sightseeing. Enclosed by huge impounding walls, this palace shows a fusion of Rajput and Mughal styles of architecture. Its everlasting architecture and decoration exemplify that the palace has kept the amplitude of the Rajputs alive.
Also known as the Palace of Winds or the Palace of the Breeze, Hawa Mahal is one of the important places to visit in Jaipur. Built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1798, Hawa Mahal is a five-story extension in the form of a honeycomb. It is a unique 953 small window, called jharokhas, decorated with intricate latticework.
