After breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver naturalist tour guide who will take you to Tarangire National Park, located in Manyara Region. Tarangire is a small park which offers some excellent sights. Activities will include a wild life game drive where you can see pythons climb trees, giant baobab trees, rolling savannah and acacia parkland. This park is famous for its dense wildlife population, which is most spectacular in the dry season between June and September. It is during this period that thousands of animals- wildebeest, zebra, eland, Harte beast, buffalo, and onyx migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire river in search of water while the predators such as lion, and leopards follow close by..
-After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic lake that made Ernest Hemingway exclaim. This offers a compact-game viewing circuit and is one of the most diverse reserves in the country. Lake Manyara covers two thirds of the park and at the backdrop is the wall of the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara national park is more famous for tree climbing lion. Elephant drinking and playing in the refreshing water, giraffe, troops of baboon, zebras and buffalo’s. Over 400 species of birds can be found in Manyara and include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks.
After breakfast, we will depart for a full day game drive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Great Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. It is not a national park in the strict sense of the word, but was rather established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It exists to safeguard the interests of indigenous people as well as promote tourism. Thus, guests on safari have the unique experience of seeing Maasai herdsmen with their cattle among the tremendous variety of wildlife found in the area. Ngorongoro is the home of the big five at once: lion, leopard, Bull Elephant, Black Rhino and African Buffalo.
After breakfast we will drive to the shores of Lake Eyasi. Lake Eyasi is a very scenic soda lake found on the southern border of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This less visited lake lies at the base of the Eyasi escarpment on the western rift valley wall. This afternoon you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the ‘Hadzabe’ (hunter-gatherer Bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes, which will include a visit to their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants, and much more. Some wildlife and a wide range of bird species can be viewed during walks around the lake. After lunch pack your bags for your transfer Arusha for overnight and dinner
