Sagarmatha National Park or Everest National Park, which covers 1748 sq.km and it was established in 1976. This National Park was enlisted as the natural heritage sites of Nepal in 1979. All along this part of the trails, villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of rhododendron, magnolia and giant firs. In both the early autumn and late spring, the flowers on this portion of the Everest base camp trek make it the kind of walk you will remember for a life time.
Everest Base Camp Trekking itinerary is designed for beginner trekkers who are in good health with average physical fitness. The ample distance covered between daily itineraries, steady gain of altitude and separate rest days ensures that we are properly acclimatized to fully enjoy our trek to the Everest base camp.
But, if you wish to take up a bigger challenge offered by our agency, Nepal Everest Adventures and “stay off the beaten path”, then Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Cho La Pass EBC Trekking would be ideal.

An early morning wake up and transfer to the domestic airport to board the flight to Lukla. We take off to our destination on a 35 min scenic mountain flight. After a cup of tea at local Lodge in Lukla we are treading on the legendary “Everest Highway” which heads downwards through the alpine valley following the “Dudh Kosi” or milk river (named after its milky colour from glacial silt). We reach Phakding after 3hrs walk and end our first day here. Overnight at lodge
Today we walk mostly uphill through the alpine valleys. We cross Dudh Kosi River a few times before we reach Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa capital of the Khumbu region. On a clear day you get panaromic views of Everest, Lhotse, Thamserku, Kusum Kangru, Kwangde and Taweche on the way to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at lodge.
Acclimatization is important before proceeding to higher altitudes. This is the first acclimatization day in Namche bazaar that everyone should make into their Everest region trekking itinerary. You can explore around and relax. Overnight at lodge.
Today the landscape changes dramatically. The trail is more open and wide and it reveals the great depths of the surrounding mountains. We will visit the monastery and watch the monks performing their rituals. Overnight at lodge.
This stretch of the trek from Tengboche to Dingboche is through some pretty nice shady forest trails, full of Birches, Conifers and Rhododendrons. The trail continues along the ridge on true right side all the way to Dingboche while Ama Dablam's thumb like visage dominates the trail most of the time. Dingboche is another rest area to acclamatize in higher altitude. Overnight at lodge.
We take rest day for proper acclimatization and explore around. There are several great sights need to explored. Overnight at lodge.
The trail ascends a bit up to the Chorten above Dingboche and then gradually ascends to north west Khumbu valley until we reach Duglha. From Duglha the trail is steep uphill and we reach the memorial place of people who died while climbing Everest. Then, the trail from this point drops a bit and follows the western side of the valley to Lobuche. Overnight at Lobuche.
From Lobuche you make an early start to Gorak Shep and climb to Everest Base Camp through a higher route. You will spend a few hours in the Everest Base Camp (EBC). From EBC you can see Khumbu icefall and the route to the South Col. Then, you get back to Gorakshep for an overnight stay.
