What you'll see and experience during the tour: The tour will be entirely outdoors with the exception of entrance to the two churches included in the itinerary. The Porta Palatina: Turin's Most Famous Roman Vestige.The Porta Palatina stands as the most renowned testament to Roman Turin, then known as Julia Augusta Taurinorum. It's a key historical landmark that showcases the city's ancient origins. Turin Cathedral: The Only Renaissance Building in Turin's History, a most important place in the city because it houses Christianity's most significant relic: the Holy Shroud. Royal Palace: The Command Center of the Savoy Dynasty for Three Centuries. A grand architectural complex housing the Royal Apartments with their gardens, the Royal Armory, the Sabauda Gallery, and the Archaeological Museum.

    Piazza Castello: Turin's most central and important square: Piazza Castello is Turin's most central and significant square, bordered by its most notable buildings. These include the Church of San Lorenzo, a masterpiece of Baroque architecture by the celebrated architect Guarino Guarini, and Palazzo Madama, the first seat of the Italian Senate. Palazzo Madama contains Turin's entire history and boasts an extraordinary Baroque facade designed by the great architect Filippo Juvarra. Galleria dell'Industria Subalpina: a charming and captivating place built in Eclectic Style, an architectural treasure chest where you can admire elegant shops and Turin's most famous historic cafés: Baratti & Milano and Mulassano.

    Palazzo Carignano: a celebrated masterpiece of Baroque Architecture by Architect Guarino Guarini, The seat of the first Subalpine Parliament and the birthplace of Italy's first king, Victor Emmanuel II. This palace overlooks the evocative Piazza Carignano, a true Torinese 'salon' and the ideal place to breathe the typical Piedmontese atmosphere of Turin." From here, you can also admire the seventeenth-century palace that has housed the Egyptian Museum of Turin since 1824. Piazza San Carlo is Turin's most scenic square, a royal Baroque piazza conceived in the mid-17th century as a true reflection of Savoy power. Rectangular in shape, it's surrounded by arcades and theatrically enclosed by two famous twin churches. At its center stands Turin's iconic monument: the equestrian sculpture of Duke Emanuele Filiberto. This renowned Savoy Duke moved the capital of the Duchy of Savoy from Chambéry to Turin in 1563, transforming Turin into a capital city.
