Your tour will begin at 07:00 am (approximate time according to the flight itinerary) we will pick you up from your hotel in La Paz and transfer you to the El Alto International Airport. Flight to Uyuni (approximately 45 minutes flight). Landing at Uyuni Airport, you will meet your professional guide and private driver. In Uyuni you will enjoy a delicious American buffet in one of the most popular restaurants in the area.

    Train Cemetery

    The Train Cemetery in Uyuni is a great tourist attraction. It is a desolate place full of abandoned railway machinery. Seeing that pantheon of twisted iron and disused locomotives, we think of the glorious past they had at the beginning of the 20th century.     The population of Colchani has 580 inhabitants whose economic activities are linked to salt extraction, agriculture (royal quinoa), crafts and tourism.     Along the Chilean border, following the so-called “Jewels Route” you will visit the small colorful lagoons Chiarkota and Hedionda, sanctuaries of three varieties of flamenco.

    Laguna Canapa

    You will observe Laguna Cañapa, a beautiful lake characterized by being surrounded by Andean plants, whose shores have whitish edges resulting from the saline remains of the waters. In the lagoon you will take surreal photographs of the Andean landscape and observe the flocks of flamingos near you. You will also be surrounded by Andean seagulls, wild vicuñas and some vizcachas. You will have a stop at the Ollague Volcano Viewpoint at 5,865 meters above sea level, one of the most active volcanoes in the Western Cordillera. From there you will see fumaroles approximately 100 meters high. It will be immersed in volcanic rocks that have particular shapes.

    You will cross the Salar de Chiguana, another salt formation that borders the Chilean border, surrounded by volcanoes in shades of gray, silver, red and white. The peculiarity of the site is that it has a railway track, which runs from the Abaroa Station to Uyuni. You will visit San Juan del Rosario where the Necropolis Museum is located. You will enter a desert area, gathering many different colors that are shown successively around each curve of the ride.
