Every year, hundreds of loggerhead sea turtles come ashore along the beaches to lay their eggs, which is a significant tourist attraction on Sal Island. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the nearest beach to start the briefing with information on safety and sustainability. Afterwards, we will begin a walk on the beach in search of the turtles. Be attentive to the breath of a strange animal or the noise in the water; they arrive suddenly and begin a slow march on the beach until they find a safe spot to lay their eggs. The journey of the sea turtles will be observed, and each movement and each egg laid in the holes dug in the sand will be monitored until they return to the beach.
