    Sighisoara Clock Tower

    Sighisoara is the only inhabited medieval fortress in South-East Europe. It is also part of the UNESCO world heritage sites since 1999. The Clock Tower in Sighisoara is one of the most famous sights in Transylvania and has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.. It was built as a gate tower in the 14 th century to guard the entrance into the citadel. Currently, it is housing the History Museum. The roof alone is 34 meters high and the whole tower 64 meters. The most impressive feature of the tower is the clock, built in Switzerland and installed in 1648. One on the facade, facing the lower city, is decorated with 7 wooden figurines, each representing a day of a week. Every day the clock's mechanism rotates one of the figurines on the outside. The other facade, facing the citadel, also has a clock face and is decorated with the figurines symbolizing the Peace Goddess, Justice and Righteousness and Day and Night.

    Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)

    Bran Castle or commonly known as Dracula's Castle is the most famous medieval castle in Romania. The castle is standing at the east border of Transylvania, built on a steep cliff The construction was completed in 1388 and had the role of a military fortress. Bran castle is now a private museum open to tourists, displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. Narrow winding stairways lead through some 60 timbered rooms, many connected by underground passages, which house collections of furniture, weapons dating from the 14th to the 19th centuries.

    Black Church (Biserica Neagra)

    Brasov is packed with many cultural sights, historic landmarks and interesting places to visit. Sights: Council Square, Black Church Black Chuch The 500-year-old Black Church is the most representative monuments in Brasov and the largest Gothic church in Transylvania. The construction of this Gothic Evangelic church initially called Saint Mary’s Church, began around 1380 and was finalized in 1477. Treasures of the church: • Buchholtz mechanical organ in the Black Church is the largest, unique and functional organ in southeastern Europe. The organ has 3993 pipes and 76 registers. • The Black Church has the richest collection of Anatolian carpets across Europe. Most of them date from the 17th and 18th centuries. The majority of the existing carpets are donations from visitors.
