    National Museum of Ghana

    It is the largest and oldest of the six museums under the administration of the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board, opened on 5th March 1957 by the Duchess of Kent, Princess Marina. ..Objects in the archaeology section range from the Stone Age period to the recent historical past. Those on permanent exhibition at the ethnography gallery include chief's regalia, indigenous Ghanaian musical instruments, gold weights, beads, traditional textiles, stools and pottery. There are also objects from other African countries acquired through exchange. Examples are Senufo masks from Ivory Coast, Zulu wooden figures and bead-ware from Southern Africa. In addition there are also ancient Ife bronze heads from Nigeria and Bushongo carvings from the Congo. Exhibits at the small but impressive art gallery consist mainly of contemporary Ghanaian paintings executed in oils, pastels, acrylics, watercolours and collages.     Osu Castle

    Christiansborg Castle, also known as Osu Castle or Fort Christiansborg, is a 17th-century fortress located on the shores of Osu in Accra, Ghana's capital, along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean's Gulf of Guinea. The castle was originally built by the Danes and has changed hands multiple times among Denmark, Norway, Portugal, the Akwamu, Britain, and, finally, post-independence Ghana. It has been rebuilt numerous times throughout its history. Unique among castles and forts in Ghana, Christiansborg Castle has served as the seat of government for most of its existence, with some interruptions, until the government relocated to the Jubilee House. The castle has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site, and archaeological investigations have been ongoing in the surrounding areas since 2014. In 2017, the castle was transformed into a Presidential Museum as part of Ghana's 60th-anniversary legacy project.

    Ntonso Adinkra Craftsmen

    Ntonso is recognized as the homeland of adinkra cloth and is the only place in Ghana where traditional adinkra is produced locally from scratch. It remains Ghana’s largest producer of adinkra, a cloth celebrated for its unique symbols and proverbial wisdom. Initially, adinkra cloth was worn exclusively for funerals in the Ashanti Region and was primarily produced in black, brown, and red. However, today it is made in a variety of colors and is used across the entire country. Ntonso also features a new visitor center that offers official guided tours. During a walking tour, visitors can participate in various stages of adinkra production, including dye preparation, cloth dyeing, adinkra stamping, and the embroidery of stamped cloth.
