Meeting and pickup
Morning (09:00 hrs): Pick up to visit Vinapu – Rano Kau – Orongo. Afternoon (15 :00 hrs): Second pick-up to visit Ana Te Pahu – Puna Pau – Ahu Akivi. Punctuality : The waiting time is maximum 5 minutes per passenger. Please be prepared in advance so as not to delay the group. National Park Ticket : Must be purchased in advance online, as we do not pass through the sales office. It is mandatory to carry the ticket along with the same passport or identity card used in the purchase. Meeting point: Reception or main entrance of your accommodation. If you are outside the urban area, we will coordinate an alternative meeting point. Recommendations: Wear comfortable clothing, closed-toe shoes and sunscreen. In the afternoon, also consider additional water. Please be ready 10 minutes before each departure to ensure a punctual start.

1Rano Kau
At Rano Kau, travelers will enjoy one of the most stunning views of Rapa Nui. From their viewpoint, they will look at the huge crater of this extinct volcano, with an inner lagoon covered with totora and surrounded by towering cliffs that fall towards the Pacific Ocean. The local guide will explain the geological formation of the place and its cultural importance as a sacred space for the ancient inhabitants.

2Orongo
In Orongo, travelers will tour an ancient ceremonial clifftop village, famous for being the center of the Tangata Manu or “Bird Man” cult. They will walk among perfectly assembled stone houses and observe petroglyphs depicting figures of birdmen, masks and marine deities. From this privileged point, you will have breathtaking views of the islands Motu Nui, Motu Iti and Motu Kao Kao, scene of the ritual competition that defined the spiritual leader of the island

3Ahu Vinapu
In Vinapu, travelers will discover an archaeological site that stands out for the precision and enigmatic style of its stone constructions, compared often with Inca architecture. They will tour ceremonial platforms where moai were once erected, now fallen, and observe fragments of pukao or red stone headdresses.

In Puna Pau, travelers will visit the ancient red stone quarry where the pukao, the cylindrical headdresses that crowned many Moai of the island, were carved. They will walk the path leading to the top of this volcanic hill, observing several unfinished pukao scattered in the landscape, silent witnesses of the artisanal work of the ancient Rapanui. From this point, you will enjoy panoramic views over the valleys and village of Hanga Roa, while the local guide explains the symbolic and ceremonial significance of these headdresses in ancestral culture.

5Ahu Akivi

At Ana Te Pahu, travelers will explore the largest volcanic cave in Rapa Nui, formed by ancient lava flows. Accompanied by a local guide, you will learn about its historical and strategic importance, as well as the legends associated with this stunning natural refuge.
