After meeting your local driver or safari guide, settle into your vehicle and travel toward your accommodation near Arusha. This first journey offers an introduction to northern Tanzania’s scenery, atmosphere and welcoming local hospitality. The remainder of the day is available for rest after your international flight. Your guide will confirm the following day’s departure arrangements so you can begin the safari feeling relaxed and well prepared.

Forested landscapes beneath the Great Rift Valley After breakfast, meet your private safari guide and begin your journey to Lake Manyara National Park, positioned along the dramatic escarpment of Tanzania’s Great Rift Valley. Although compact in size, Lake Manyara contains a remarkable variety of landscapes. Your game drive may pass through dense groundwater forest, acacia woodland, open grassland and the lake’s wetland environment. The forest supports monkeys and abundant birdlife, while elephants may be encountered in the woodland areas. Near the lakeshore, visit the hippo pool and watch for wildlife gathering around the water. Sightings remain natural and can vary throughout the day.

The Serengeti is renowned for its immense grasslands, varied ecosystems and rich predator populations. Your guide will explore the central, western or eastern region according to the confirmed route, travel season and current conditions. During your game drives, there may be opportunities to observe grazing herds, lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and many other species.
