CHECK-IN AND MISSED TOUR POLICY Check-in is at 3:15 PM Arrive at Na Pali Riders’ office in Waimea 45 minutes before departure with waivers signed. The safety brief starts 30 minutes before departure. If not checked in before the brief begins, the tour is missed.

Experience the Hawaiian Humpback Whale Season The Hawaiian Humpback Whale Season lasts from December – April of each year. Our 30-foot Zodiac© rigid-hull, inflatable raft is the perfect vessel for whale encounters. The Humpback whale is an endangered species, and Hawaii is the nation’s primary mating and calving ground for this species of whale. Kohala, the Hawaiian name for the Humpback whale, travel from Alaska over a distance of 2,000-3,500 miles to make their way to the warm waters of the Hawaiian Islands. Here in Hawaii, they mate and give birth to their young. Plan to join our Kauai whale watching tours if you are lucky enough to be in Hawaii during whale season. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures in the wild! - By booking this tour, you understand the following: Viewing wildlife is NEVER guaranteed. This includes whales and dolphins. This tour does NOT include views of Na Pali Coast. The Na Pali Coast tour is a different product. This tour does NOT include snorkeling or swimming.
- By booking this tour, you understand the following: When ocean conditions are not favorable or the minimum passenger count for the safety and stability of our vessel is not met we will call, email, and or text you to provide notification of the cancellation. You will be offered the following options: Rebook your Whale Watching expedition for another date; Cancel your reservation and receive a full refund.
- We recommend booking early in your vacation in case of a weather cancellation, you have more time left in your vacation to rebook.
- Our tour departs from the west side of Kauai— We meet in Waimea at the Na Pali Riders office.
- WARNING: The Zodiac© raft makes for a wild and rough ride. Due to the nature of the Whale Watching Expedition, you must be in good physical condition to attend this tour. We cannot accommodate pregnant women, anyone with back or neck problems, medical conditions or recent surgeries.
