Meeting and pickup
Guests staying in the San Juan–Isla Verde area will be picked up between 6:30 and 6:45 AM at the DoubleTree by Hilton San Juan. Departure is promptly at 7:00 AM. If you are outside San Juan and will be driving, please contact us to arrange a convenient meeting point.

Before hitting the trails, we’ll fuel up at a coffee shop run by a traditional Puerto Rican coffee family. Grab a coffee your way—latte, cappuccino, macchiato, or black (for purchase, not included)—and pick up a bag of authentic Puerto Rican coffee to take home. This stop is also a quick restroom and snack break, giving you the perfect boost for the hiking adventure ahead!

Central Mountain Range: Off the Beaten Path Puerto Rico Hiking Adventure Venture into the Door of the Mountain Range of Puerto Rico, soaking in stunning panoramic views of the countryside before arriving at our exclusive private nature reserve. This off-the-beaten-path hike is ideal for physically fit adventurers and seasoned hikers. Level: Moderate to challenging – expect steep trails, river trekking, and sections requiring good balance. Follow a well-established path through the lush subtropical forest, discovering hidden waterfalls, including one that towers 150 feet tall, and immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and scents of the vibrant forest. Before the trail ends, cool off in a natural pond surrounded by greenery, savoring freshly cut tropical fruits while relaxing in the peace and privacy of our small, intimate group (8–9 participants max). Every step of this journey connects you with the authentic beauty and raw energy of Puerto Rico’s mountains.

- Wear bathing suit or bring along. in case you want to dive in one the natural ponds.
- Good traction shoes, Examples: Keen, Five Ten, La Sportiva. If you don’t have any of these options Good Sneakers (Nike, Reebok, Asics, Addidas, etc.)
- If concern by mosquitos, it is recommended you wear and extra layer under your shirt and pants. Example: long sleeve dry fit tee and compression cool dry sports tights pants base layer. Another option would be Hiking Pants or Bug Repellent
- Have good endurance, balance and coordination. Hiking Level (Off The Beaten Path) - Moderate to Challenging with some steep hiking and river trekking sections - Suitable for all Physically Fit People. (((Please be advised, most participants, that doesn’t fall into this category, usually cannot keep up the required pace, cope with the sustained hiking on steep terrain, and regularly do not complete the adventure. This usually slows everyone down and can result in a safety hazard.)))

- Sleep and eat well so you can be sharp for a Good Hiking/Trekking Day. (Disclaimer: if by any reason we think you’re a not well rested and this could compromise the safety of the tour you might no be allowed to participate in the adventure)
- Our hiking tours are always small group adventures, typically 4-10people per trip. Join a personalized trekking vacation that prioritizes quality of experience above all else.
- Change of clothes and a towel. Camera, Small Backpack and Waterproof Camera (if possible).
