We pick you up from your hotel.
Tribhuvan International Airport, Domestic Terminal.
After you land in the Tibhuwan International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative at the airport in Nepali style. The representative will drive you to your hotel where you can freshenup and rest for a while. Later, you will meet our representative for coffee as they brief you about your while trip.
After breakfast, you’ll board on morning flight to Lukla from the Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. Kathamndu to Lukla is one of the most scenic flight you’ll ever board on. During the flight, you’ll get the view of settlements and majestic mountains of Khumbu region. Brace yourself for a landing in Tenzing Hillary Airport. After landing in Lukla and a brief rest and meeting with our porters and completing the team, the 15 days Everest Base Camp trekking journey starts. It is a relatively short walk to make sure your body acclimatizes properly. You’ll walk through the beautiful terrain, cross various suspension bridges and see lots of mani stone on the way. Later if you want, then you can take a short trip to the monastery.
Start the second day of your 14 days Everest Base Camp trekking with a hearty breakfast in Phakding. Today, you’ll be walking with Dudh Kosi River at your side. Take slow and mindful steps as the beauty is more on the journey than the destination. You’ll get to cross the highest bridge of the trek ‘Hillary Suspension Bridge’ on the way. As you walk, you’ll be able to get glimpse of Thamserkhu (6,608 meters), peeking through the hills. You’ll enter Sagarmatha National Park at Jorsale. The authorities will check your license there. Enjoy the walk, maybe interact with the lovely kids on the way. After walking about 2-3 hours from there we’ll reach Namche Bazaar.
Namche Bazaar is the trading center of the Khumbu region. Wake up and have slow morning to the most magnificent view of the Himalayas as it’s acclimatization day! Acclimatization is crucial as you’re heading to higher elevations. As it’s suggested to be active during the day, you will hike to the Everest View Hotel to get the first glimpse of Everest today. Along with Everest, you will also be able to see Lhotse and Nuptse from the Everest View Hotel. After returning from your hike, you can return to Namche Bazaar which is like a little city nestled amongst the mountains to enjoy some sweet treats and some delicious food in bakery and cafes. Have a good rest for the next day.
From today we’ll be walking facing the mountains. We’ll get breathtaking views of Mount Everest and Ama Dablam (6,812 meters) along the trek. We will walk through Kenjoma, Sansasa and Phunki Thanga Villages along with a mystical pine forest leading you to Tengboche (3870 meters). Two trails depart from here one leading to Everest Base Camp and other leading to the Gokyo Valley and Lakes. Today you can focus on photographing the most beautiful mountain Ama Dablam (6,812 meters) along with stupas, Mani walls and scenery you want to capture. After the fulfilling but exhausting trek you will go to your warm homestay that we have booked, have a filling meal and go to rest to fill up energy for tomorrow’s walk.
Today’s walk is a bit easier than the previous days’ hike but altitude might make it a bit harder for us to walk. We start losing the trees from today. Take slow and mindful steps, enjoying the mountain views around, patting yourself in backing making it till here, for choosing to continue. We’ll cross the Imja Khola passing the beautiful Pangboche Village known for its monastery and farming. You can watch the locals and monks offering prayers. You can look at Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse and other ridges to fill in your energy. We’ll head straight to Dingboche from where other trail leading to Everest three passes departs. After a nutritious meal, you’ll head to your warm bed for rest.
Today’s acclimatization day comes with a acclimatizing hike to Nirekhasang Peak. It is an easy ascent hike near Dingboche. It will take you around 2-3 hours according to your speed. This place is a perfect viewpoint to have a striking view of the ‘Most Beautiful Mountain of Nepal’, Ama Dablam (6,812 meters). Along with Ama Dablam, this point offer an amazing view of Lhotse (8516 meters), Cho Oyu (6,160 meters), Kantega(6,782 meters) and Makalu (8,485 meters). Later during the day, you can stroll around the Dingboche village or rest in your cozy rooms. The view keeps getting better and better with each passing day.
As you continue walking to higher altitude, its crucial to keep on drinking lots of fluids so don’t forget refill your water bottle or bladder with warm water and keep hydrating yourself. We’re walking alongside the mountains on frozen trail. You might be able to catch glimpse of blue and green glacier lakes. We’ll pass through Thungla and Dhungla villages to reach Lobuche. From the top of Dhungla village, you’ll see a memorial site nearby, called the Lobuche memorial pass. The brave people who have deceased while mountaineering is honored here. You can feel the sorrow along with respect engulf you as you watch the chortens all over the walls. Lobuche is a cozy little paradise nestled among the rocky, snowy mountains. Have a chance there to witness magnificent sunset on the Mount Lhotse. Be sure to nourish yourself well during your stay at Lobuche.
After a warm breakfast in Lobuche, we’ll start waking to Gorapshep, the last settlement before Everest Base camp. Today is the most important day of the 15 days Everest Base Camp trekking as we will be setting foot in the base camp. Also, today’s the day we need to be extra careful because of the high altitude. Today you need to be extra mindful and listen to your body. There is no need to rush. We’ll also see a pyramid-shaped research center at some distance from the main trail. It is mainly focused on the meteorological and geological transformation of the Everest region. It is a research center at the highest altitude. You will get your permits checked here once again before entering Gorakshep. Gorakshep used to be the previous base cap before it was shifted to the present base camp. After checking in and having the much-needed, energy-giving lunch, we’ll head to our final destination, the place you have been dreaming to reach, the Everest Base Camp.
Today early in the morning after having something warm, you will start your hike to Kalapatthar. The hike will take about 2-3 hours. Kalapatthar is a view point from where you can have uninterrupted view of the Everest and other peaks besides it like Nuptse, and Changtse. This is the point from which we can see Mount Everest in all its glory. Bathe in its unparallel beauty before we head down to fairly easy downhill trek to Gorakshep. We will have some tea and snacks at Gorakshep before heading down to Pheriche. Reaching Pheriche is a downward trek through the mystical woodlands and streams of crystal-clear water. Pheriche is a small settlement nestled amongst the mountains. You will sleep soundly here with a heart full of accomplishment and room full of warmth
After a hearty breakfast, we descend down the same path to Khumjung. The distance that we will cover is around 16 km. Today’s trail is mostly downhill trek. We will pass through the beautiful settlements of Churo, Pangboche, Millingo on the way before finally reaching Khumjung to stay the night. We will also be walking through the forest trail.
Second last day of your 15 days Everest Base Camp trekking, you will have to descend steeply downwards. You need to have control over your legs, have a good grip while you are descending down the rocky terrain. You will start walking in dense forest. You will trek past the woodlands, rivers, waterfalls and suspension bridges. Cherish the memories of the mountains on this last trekking day. Walking past Jorsalle and Monjo, you’ll reach Lukla. As you are staying for the night, explore the pubs, bakeries, bars, and internet cafes. Shop for some souvenirs from the mountains if you want to and rest well for the night with pleasant memories.
After farewell breakfast of the mountains, you will fly back to the real hustling bustling city of Kathmandu. Take a final glimpse of the Himalayas as you catch your morning flight from Lukla to arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. You reach Kathmandu after 12 days Everest Base Camp trekking. You can rest well today at your comfortable hotel after the challenging trek.
Today, the last day of your trip in Nepal, you can roam around the streets of markets of Nepal, have authentic Nepali streets food. You can go on a Mo:Mo hunt which is the most popular food found in Kathmandu valley and trust me, you won’t find Mo:Mo like here anywhere in the world. You can also opt to shop for souvenirs before you get picked up from your hotel and taken to the airport for your flight. Have a safe flight to home!
