This is a guided hiking in Mt. Usu, an active volcano, visiting the remains of the disaster that erupted in 2000, and entering the restricted area with special permission. Through the lives of the people who still live in coexistence with Mt. Usu, which has repeatedly erupted, you will learn about the disaster mitigation measures and thoughts of the local residents. This activity is ideal for those interested in volcanoes, history, and culture. You will be able to see the volcano up close and feel the threat of nature and the living earth through the history of its eruptions.
