Your guide will meet you at the agreed meeting point at the port, and your shore excursion in Invergordon will begin. Relax in your excursion vehicle as you leave the tranquil port city and enjoy a scenic one-hour drive to the historic Cawdor Castle. Dating back to the 14th century, the castle enchants with its fairy-tale architecture, grand walls, and lush gardens. Learn about its connection to Shakespeare’s “Macbeth.” Entry is optional (£15 adult, £8 child). Continue to a traditional whisky distillery to discover the secrets of Scotland’s national drink and enjoy a tasting (18+ only). Next, travel to the legendary Loch Ness and capture stunning views of its mysterious waters and the tales of “Nessie.” Time permitting, visit Inverness—“Capital of the Highlands”—to explore or enjoy a snack. The tour route may vary due to local conditions. Conclude your journey as you return to Invergordon in time for your cruise departure, cherishing memories of Scotland’s charm and beauty.
After disembarking, take the shuttle bus for a short ride to the 1ST STOP—West Harbour—Shore Street. Your guide will meet you displaying a sign with ‘YOUR SHORE TIME’ and will direct you to your awaiting coach
We leave the Port, with our official Guide, shortly after your cruise ship’s arrival, and enjoy a scenic ride in our air-conditioned coach to the pretty village of Beauly where you can enjoy a stroll through the local streets, or enjoy a refreshment I one of the welcoming cafes
We then head to Loch Ness and enjoy a driver along the banks of the loch, and pause for a Photo Stop (don’t forget to keep an eye out for Nessie, the legendary Loch Ness Monster! No visit to the Highlands of Scotland would be the same without a visit to see Highland cows and an opportunity to take pictures, and if you are lucky enough to get up close!
Our scenic drive continues as we make our way to INVERNESS, the Scottish Highland’s capital city. Here you will have time to discover this charming city on your own. Enjoy lunch – so many places to choose from! Perhaps visit the Cathedral, or venture into the lively and vibrant Victorian Market where the food hall will provide a wide choice of typical Scottish street food. We then board our coach for the journey back to Invergordon, returning in time for you to re-board your ship.
