Arrival in Hanoi. Welcome by Mozaik guide Travel and transfer to the hotel. Free time to rest or for a first discovery of the city. Overnight at the hotel
Day of deep discovery of the capital of Vietnam, filled with timeless grace. Start of the tour through the residential area where the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, its stilted house, the Presidential Palace, and the single pillar pagoda are located.
Then, visit the oldest Pagoda of Hanoi: Tran Quoc.
Visit of the Temple of Literature which is the "first university of Vietnam".
Visit the Ethnography Museum which gathers costumes, tools, musical instruments and exhibits some typical houses of the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam (closed every Monday).
A walk through the alleys of Hanoi’s Old Quarter will allow you to get a good grasp of the capital’s local life. Tour of the train street. Visit the Ngoc Son temple on the shores of central lake Hoan Kiem.
After breakfast. Departure for the North-West Region. Stop to visit Duong Lam village with its Mia Pagoda, Phung Hung Temple, Mong Phu Communal House and old houses. Lunch in a family restaurant.
Road towards Nghia Lo. Stop to visit the Green Tea Hills and a Muong village along the way. Arrival in Nghia Lo in the late afternoon. Installation and overnight and dinner at homestay.
Breakfast and then hiking or cycling in the valley of Nghia Lo. Meet the Thais in the valley.
Then departure towards Mu Cang Chai via Tu Le.
Hiking in the area of La Pan Tan – Mu Cang Chai which has a system of beautiful rice terraces, recognized as a national heritage. The route of the hike is nicknamed the Route des Photographes. Green Hmong meet in Mu Cang Chai. Overnight and dinner at homestay in the Thai house.
Breakfast and then drive towards Sapa. Stops for visits to ethnic villages along the way (NaTam village of Lu and Laos). Afternoon, continue the road to Sapa via Hoang Lien Son Pass. It is the highest in Vietnam at 2047 m above sea level. Fairy landscapes are present throughout the journey. Possibility to contemplate the highest point of Vietnam: the Fanxipan, 3143 m high. Arrival in Sapa in the late afternoon.
Walk to discover the city: the market, the colonial houses, the stone church of Sapa.... Overnight in the hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to Lao Chai.
Hiking in Muong Hoa Valley at the foot of Mount Fanxipan and bisected by a small river. Rice terraces spread over the mountain slopes, offering a velvet landscape. Visit the hamlets Lao Chai and Ta Van, populated by ethnic tribes such as the Black Zays and H'mongs with their traditional costumes, red tassel bags, lovely silver earrings and charming children who come to meet you in a bucolic setting of the Black Hmong, Giays...
Lunch and then back to Hanoi by highway. Overnight in hotel in Hanoi.
After breakfast at the hotel, departure by Mandarin road to Ninh Binh.
Visit of the 2 temples of the 11th century dedicated to kings Dinh and Le. They are surrounded by very beautiful gardens with frangipani trees more than 100 years old!
In the afternoon, departure to the pier by bike for a crossing of typical villages of the region. The countryside is enchanting and the rural life scenes are adorable: children playing around grandmothers caring for the youngest, small local markets, duck farms...
Board small rowboats for a 1h30 walk through spectacular landscapes. Continue the itinerary with the bike ride to Thung La Temple, which is located in a meditation valley, surrounded by limestone mountains.
Departure for Halong Bay via Thai Binh and Nam Dinh, the rice fields as far as the eye can see of the Red River Delta follow you along the way. Arrival in Halong around noon.
Boarding our junk for a cruise in Halong Bay. Visit one of the caves during the cruise. Seafood meals served by our excellent team. A sweet night aboard our comfortable junk in private cabins.
Early morning, admiration of the magical sunrise of Halong Bay, Breakfast on board. Continue cruising in the bay amid countless islets. Around 11:00, return to the pier
Then return to Hanoi where you will arrive in the afternoon.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Hue. Welcome and installation at the hotel.
You will start by visiting the “city of poetry”, which seduces visitors with its romanticism and historical monuments. Boarding the boat for a cruise on the Perfume River. Visit stops: the village of Thanh Tien, the old wharf of Bao Vinh, and then bike ride in the village of Sinh which specializes in the manufacture of Paper Prints, visit the most famous Thien Mu pagoda of Hue. Lunch on board the boat during the cruise to discover the daily life of the inhabitants who live along both banks of the river. Afternoon: Visit to the Imperial City, the only exemplary vestige of what was once an imperial city of Vietnam. The day ends with Dong Ba Market, the largest in Hue City. Transfer to the hotel for rest.
Morning: Visit the Mausoleum of Tu Duc Poetique, then the village of Incense Sticks. Then walk in the Tu Hieu pagoda founded by the Madarin Eunuchs of the royal court of Hue. Road towards Hoi An via the Mandarin Road via the Col des Nudes where the view of Danang and its surroundings is splendid. Several stops are planned en route. Visit the Cham Museum in Danang which holds the most important collection on the culture of the Chams in the world. Then, walk in 30 minutes on the beach of My Khe from where you will have a beautiful view of the statues of the Goddess of Mercy and witness the activities of the fishermen of the village. Road towards Hoi An. Visit the Thang Loi silk factory marked in the backpack as a serious Hoi An factory where you can do custom silk business. Transfer to the hotel for rest.
After breakfast, bike ride (or motorcycle taxi) to the vegetable village of Tra Que (5kms – 30 minutes by bike from Hoi An). Tra Que is renowned for its aromatic herbs, mint and basil in the lead. The leaves, which are smaller than usual, have a special aroma. You will discover the life of farmers and have the chance to be introduced to their gardening and vegetable picking techniques. Then relax and enjoy a herbal foot bath with massage. Then we will guide you to make some traditional dishes of Hoi An. Lunch with tasting of the village’s famous speciality, “Tam Huu”, assorted shrimp, pork, aromatic herbs and six other specialties. Back to Hoi An. Afternoon, visit Hoi An city classified in the World Heritage List: the Museum of Antiquities, the Japanese Bridge, Chinatown, Phung Hung House, the grounds
Transfer by the driver in the morning to the airport for the flight to Sai Gon. Welcome and transfer to the city. Orientation tour of the city passing through the Saigon River, the former colonial district, Ton Duc Thang Avenue, Nguyen Hue Avenue (formerly Charner Bd). Visit Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office and Ben Thanh Market. Then, departure for the Cho Lon district to discover its old quarters, its market, the Thien Hau Temple and the Giac Lam Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in the city, its architecture, layout and decoration remain almost intact since its construction in 1744. Overnight in hotel in Saigon.
Departure to Ben Tre – Mekong Delta, a beautiful region in the Mekong Delta, famous for the manufacture of coconut candy. Boat trip on the river Ben Tre to discover the daily life of the inhabitants. Stop to visit the brick kiln to discover the craft methods of brick making. This is followed by a visit to the coconut products factory. Continuation of our boat trip on the canals and then a short walk will help you to discover deeply the local life. It will be an opportunity to taste fresh fruit. Then, bike ride through small paths through villages observing coconut palms, rice fields, vegetable gardens. Meet farmers and you can also participate in their work by helping them. Overnight at homestay.
Breakfast at homestay. Then visit the local market by bike. Directions to Long Xuyen via Sa Dec, where we visit the Kien An Cung Pagoda, the Huynh Thuy Le house that is in Marguerite Duras’ novel, The Lover, and the Sa Dec market very rich in poisons, fruits and vegetables. Continue the road to Long Xuyen, visit a Caodai temple and a crocodile farm. Arrival at the end of the day. Overnight in hotel in Long Xuyen.
Early in the morning we visit the lively and authentic Long Xuyen floating market. We discover the daily activity of people living on the Mekong. Visit Cu Lao Ong Ho, on foot and aboard small boats through several arroyos. Road to Saigon. Overnight in the hotel.
