DA Rome is the perfect place to discover Umbria, a land of olive trees and medieval villages. A minivan will pick you up from your hotel in Rome to take you to Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. You will visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, where you can admire the Porziuncola, one of the most sacred places of Franciscanism. With your local Guide you will also visit the Basilica of Santa Chiara, which houses the saint's body. Together with your tour assistant you will reach the church which preserves the body of Blessed Charles Acutis. Since admission is free, it will only be possible to access if waiting times allow, depending on the turnout at the time. In the afternoon the tour continues towards Orvieto, famous for its Gothic Duomo, which you will also visit inside.
