1Mljet National Park
Choose between a speedboat or a yacht, and then meet your professional skipper at the prearranged time and location in central Dubrovnik. Hop aboard your boat and settle into a comfortable spot on deck. As your boat slips away from land, ask your skipper any questions you have; the beauty of a private tour is that the commentary is tailored to your interests. Your first stop is a cave at the island of Koločep. As you approach the island, admire the sheer cliffs that rise abruptly from the sea and then, when your skipper shuts off the engine, jump into the water with your snorkeling equipment and explore the wind-carved cave. Dry off on deck and refresh with a piece of fruit and a soft drink or water as you cruise onward to Mljet Island. Dock by the island’s famous lemon-wedge-shaped beach, aptly named Lemuni (Lemons), and enjoy free time to relax on its pristine, yellow sands or cool off in the shallows.

2Kolocep Island
Next, return to your boat and cruise toward Mljet National Park at the northern tip of the island. This tranquil, unspoiled oasis boasts saltwater lakes, pine forests and lush flora. Visit the famous cave where the fabled Odysseus found shelter after surviving a shipwreck — legend has it he was seduced by the nymph Calypso who kept him on the island for several years. Then, re-board your boat and continue around the island. Soak up the panoramas, and then moor at the fishing village of Pomena. With time here spent at your leisure, perhaps visit the lakes or the Benedictine monastery (own expense). Alternatively, stroll along the charming harbor, lined with fishing boats and gleaming yachts, before meeting back up with your skipper for a traditional lunch at a local restaurant of your choice (own expense). After lunch, head back to Dubrovnik where your tour concludes.
