3Itchiku Kubota Art Museum

It is a “total art environment” embodying the artist’s philosophy through the revival of traditional techniques, innovative architecture, and meticulously crafted gardens. Set in a prime location overlooking Mt. Fuji, visitors can enjoy a unique experience that harmonizes visual beauty and spiritual tranquility. The museum also showcases the exquisite kimono works of the genius dyeing artist Itchiku Kubota (1917–2003), who independently revived and evolved the lost Edo-period dyeing technique called "Tsujigahana," creating the magnificent "Itchiku Tsujigahana" textiles.

Located on the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi, this photogenic spot features vibrant flowers blooming against the stunning backdrop of Mt. Fuji.
