Changu Narayan Temple is one of the ancient and most sacred Hindu temples of Nepal which stands on a shiny hill above the big Mandayi canyon and can be seen from Bhaktapur. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and, with its stunning pagoda-style construction and exquisite stone, wood and metal carvings that date from the 4th century, it's listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Backed up by a classic Newar village and greenery, it’s got spiritual pull and cultural beauty in equal measure.
