Our driver and guide will pick you up from your hotel in Siem Reap then take a journey from the city through scenic drive to the Tonle Sap Lake and Kampong Phluk Floating Village.
Along the way, you’ll pass a local secondary school before arriving at a nearby bustling Local market, where colorful stalls, fresh produce, and friendly vendors offer a glimpse into authentic Cambodian life. In Rolous Market you will witness most of the fish are freshly catch from the Tonle Sap Lake, it might be a bit uncomfortable for you to walk through as there many locals moving around but I'm sure it is a great experience.
After exploring Rolous Market we continue by car or minivan to Kampong Phluk Floating Village. Once arrived the quay we purchase the boat ticket then tour the community by boat and experience a way of life elevated, quite literally. Houses on 6–10 meters stilts line the waterways, surrounded by floating fishing nets, schools, and pagodas. During high water, life takes place entirely by boat. Learn how Cambodians rely on fishing and lake farming for sustenance, gain insight into how villagers adapt to seasonal extremes. After seeing the village we will continue to catch a glimpse at the massive Tonle Sap Lake, your guide will explain you how the lake changes it's body between wet and dry season. Optionally (August - January) while the surrounding forest is flooded it is possibly for a memorable canoe rides. This activity will be at your own expense at an affordable price.
After your visit, return to Siem Reap by boat and vehicle, arriving back at your hotel (or drop-off location of your choice) by early afternoon.
