What to expect

Ascending from Maganiari springs (980m )to the historical shelter of Sparta (1550m) you will be accompanied for a couple of hours by the imposing perennial black pine trees.
Your next goal is to reach the highest summit of Peloponnesus and vegetation gradually decreases. During the hiking, you will have the chance to see the entire Laconian plain and the neighboring mountain Parnon. On the top you will have the most amazing view including the Messinian gulf.
