Khajuraho, one of the most famous towns in India, is located in the Chatarpur district in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This famed city is known for its temple complexes, erotic sculptures, and pristine beauty. The explicit and enticing frescoes have had both historians and tourists enthralled for many a millennium now. Spread over an area of approximately 20 sq.kms in the north-eastern part of Madhya Pradesh, Khajuraho is a major tourist site and also listed among the 14 UNESCO world heritage sites in India. These temples were built over a thousand years ago under the patronage of the Rajput Chandela kings in a span of 100 years, from 950 to 1050 A.D. The temples of Khajuraho are known for the harmonious integration of sculptures with their architecture. The entire temple structure is lavishly adorned with intricate carvings and finely chiselled sculptures. Each part of the temple—the entrance, spire, walls, pillars, and ceiling—is decorated with a unique concept related to Hinduism.

Morning pick up from Khajuraho hotel and proceed to visit the amazing series of Khajuraho Temples. Start visiting Western groups of temples. Marvel the intriguing intricacy and get flabbergasted with the architecture. The carvings on the temple walls are erotic and represent sexual practices. A few of the most famous temples in Khajuraho include Kandariya Mahadeo, Lakshmana, Chaunsath Yogini, Paravati, Varaha, Vishvanath and Nandi, Chitragupta and Devi Jagadamba.
Later visit State Museum of Tribal, and Folk Art, there are over 500 tribal antiques, folk paintings, jewellery, masks, terracotta objects, metal craft and bamboo items in this museum. The colourful culture and ethnic sensibilities of the local artisans is displayed in each work in this museum. Apart from this, the museum also exhibits evolution of various forms, styles and designs that have transformed and evolved over passed centuries. After Visiting Tribal Museum, we will lunch (optional) at a good restaurant.
Later visit Khajuraho of Archeological Museum, Archeological Museum, divided into four Gallery. Vaishnava gallery, Saiva gallery, Jaina gallery, Miscellaneous gallery The objects displayed in the Khajuraho Archaeological Museum are sculptures and architectural remains of the 10th and 12th century temples. The objects reflect the influences of Hindu and Jain religions. The museum now houses more than 2000 objects. Among these some of the popular ones are the Nritta Gansha, Uma-Maheshwara, Andhakasuravadhamurti and Vaikuntha.
