Experience the world's first Heli Gin Tour on this finely curated gin-tasting experience that includes a mix of tastings, scenery, fun & education.

Start your day with a pick-up from your Queenstown accommodation and enjoy a special scenic helicopter flight. Land on a mountaintop and enjoy a unique gin-tasting experience while taking in the breathtaking views of Queenstown. From here, we'll touch down in the Cardrona Valley, where you will meet the rest of your group and continue by road.

Throughout the afternoon, you'll enjoy three separate gin and spirit tasting experiences, with each location offering something special, including a distillery tour at the famous Cardrona Distillery.

Enjoy a gin and tonic upon arrival, shared platters at two of the locations, and be hosted by a friendly guide and the tasting room staff, who will entertain you with distilling facts and stories.

You will be collected by our helicopter partner The Helicopter Line. Pick-ups are available at a range of hotels and bus stops around Queenstown and Frankton. After you book the Altitude Tours team will send through reconfirmation of your pick-up time and location and can help answer any questions you may have leading up to the day.

    Start your day being met by the helicopter company at your Queenstown accommodation and enjoy a scenic helicopter flight, landing on a mountaintop to enjoy your first Gin for the day by Limited Gin. This is the most exclusive and expensive gin in New Zealand and to be enjoyed on a mountain top is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Hopping back into the helicopter to be flown to The Cardrona Distillery to join the rest of the tour group.

    This is our educational stop for the day, upon arrival you will be greeted with a Gin & Tonic, then the Cardrona Distillery staff will take you on a tour through the distillery to learn about the history of their label and educate you on how Gin is made. Finishing in the private tasting room to not only taste the Gin they produce but their other award-winning spirits and liqueurs.

    You will continue by road in a premium Mercedes van and your Altitude guide. We will depart Cardrona and head down the Crown Range which has incredible views down towards Queenstown and the Gibbston Region

    Second stop for the tour is in the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown. At The Winery sample three NZ gins accompanied with a tonic or soda while enjoying shared cheese platters packed with Whitestone cheeses, breads, olive oil & dukkah. If you would like to pause on the gins you can exchange your gin tasting for wines as The Winery has over 80 bottles of wines available to sample in their top-of-the-line tasting machines.

    Lastly, we head to Arthurs Point to the Gin Garden by Broken Heart Spirits, we return to a hosted tasting experience where you get to learn the history behind the brand and the flavors of the multiple gins they produce. Their award-winning gins are sure to be a delight as you indulge in some more light food, a German-style tarte flambee. Returning to Queenstown around 7 pm.
